Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

Great cruise until the end.

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Cruised on the Norwegian Jewel for a 5-day getaway from Sydney to Tasmania and return. We had an aft Penthouse suite, room 10002. As we were in the Penthouse, wife’s 50th birthday present, we were given preferred boarding and demarcation status which made life very easy. Our concierge could not have been more helpful. We also had the services of a butler who was extremely polite and ...

Loved how clean and orderly the ship was very friendly staff from start to finish! Thank you very much for making our holiday such a wonderful experience. The cabin was amazing and they kept it clean and tidy throughout the day, loved the turndown service each night, loved how sanitary everything was and had loads of hand cleaning dispensers throughout the ship, the Garden Cafe was a huge ...

This cruise was chosen as a short experience for a number of long time friends to get together for a few days, rather than just meeting for the occasional meal together, and would include the friends partners rather than just a "boys thing". The cruise was for 5 days, From Sydney to Tasmania and return, with days in port at Devonport and Hobart. The cruise was a pleasant experience, being ...

Very disappointing

We thought we would take this cruise for a short break. Reasonable price and we hadn't been on the Jewel before. We had sailed on the Norwegian Wind many years ago and I could remember that we queued every time we had to get off the ship but everything else was good. If this ship wants to sail from Australia, they will have to pick up their act. The service in the main dining room was ...

I was lucky enough to win this cruise for 2 aboard this fabulous ship which included an ultimate drinks package and a 3 night speciality dining package. Our embarkation was a little slow because of a big crowd arriving for the twelve o'clock session but everything ran smoothly enough. The ship layout was not too bad although the corridors twisted and turned a bit however the decor and ...

Last minute booking complete with drinks package for a short trip to Tasmania. No problem with the ship except the smell of smoke in some areas such as the card room and library. The problems concerned the bad attitude of the dining room waiters. Especially the females. Some were rude and kept you waiting for ages before reluctantly acknowledging your existence. Then there was the consistently ...

My brother and I chose this cruise because it traveled through French Polynesia to Australia on an itinerary we liked. We always wanted to see Tahiti and Fiji, and this cruise also included Bora Bora, Moorea, and Raitea in French Polynesia, as well as Samoa, Vanuatu, and 2 islands in New Caledonia as well. There was an itinerary glitch. Apia, Samoa was cancelled due to port construction, ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

This being our first cruise, we just didn't know what to expect. I had visions of lots of people and no room to move but it was the opposite even though it was a full cruise so we were very pleased. we had a mid ship balcony which was quite spacious and had plenty of storage. Suitcases slid under bed which was great. Ample shelves and full size wardrobe. Toilet little cramped but fine. ...

Nice ship but!

Very nice ship, fitted out well, plenty of eateries and bars, but the allowable dress code, was appalling. I understand people like to relax and unwind, but there is a time and place, where you need to make an effort and night time dining, is that time. Far too many people, rocking up in board shorts, singlets and thongs and expecting to be allowed entry to the Dining Rooms. We are not snobs by ...

Great ports, disappointing ship

As the title suggests we were not overly impressed by the ship as far as first impressions goes it was a fail for Norwegian. The ship looked very nice at the docks we viewed it the night before boarding but alas that was to our only good impression. The boarding experience was abysmal we lined up for and hour and a half in hot conditions imaging that it must be slow as they were checking people ...
