We chose this trip to celebrate our daughter's 50th birthday. The cabin. 13008 had amble room for the three of us and the service was excellent. Our Concierge, Thomas and our Butler, Chelsea and our Room stewards were excellent. The specialty Restaurants were very good. Our shore excursions were good, however the rain we had that week hampered our expectations. We did see the Las Vegas Show and ...
This was supposed to be a seven day cruise but NCL reduced it to six days to accomodate unscheduled maintenance that required the ship to be in drydock the day we were scheduled to sail. NCL provided a one night stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort and transportation to the pier on the original departure date. A VERY nice facility.
The stop in Maui was changed from two days to one ...
This cruise ship will take you to all the right islands and will clean, friendly and fun but for those of you that like details and want info, let me spill the beans here.
Firstly, cost of airport to pier via a taxi is $25 (.60 per bag charge, yes .60 cents). Arrive at pier and check in, you will get your picture taken and a lei, men get necklace.
We avoided all pro photos because we knew ...
We booked a Hawaiian cruise with Norwegian for our 40th anniversary. Two weeks before the cruise they cut a day off the cruise making our 7 day cruise a 6 day cruise. The ‘gesture of gratitude’ was to reduce the cost by 1 day. So the gratitude for reducing my cruise by a day was to refund me 1 day. Really? To make matters worse, we get a letter in the cabin telling us that my first excursion of ...
Cruise picked as part of a package for the Itinerary and not the ship. However 9 days before our 3rd March sailing we were informed that it was shortened to 6 nights from 7 and that we would be put up in a hotel for the lost night. Not a great start.
Embarkation was handled well as essentially nearly every passenger arrived at 12.00. Equally disembarkation was also well managed with our ...
Wanted to cruise around Hawaiian islands. This is the only ship that begins and ends in Hawaii
Ship is old. Rooms are small. Cabin steward did not clean and turn down room at night. Food was ok. Not up to cruise standards. comments from waiter were very inappropriate at times. Only a couple restaurant choices for meals which were included. All other restaurants charged extra.
Problem with ...
We liked this cruise of Hawaii so we could get a taste of different islands, and it was a great way to do it, as we took excursions at every stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included food was good, but average. However, our cruise was shortened by a day for mandatory inspection, and we only had one week notice by email, no phone call. And it has been difficult getting the ...
NEVER AGAIN!!!
We too were on the shortened Hawaiin Cruise of 3rd March 2018 .
Bottom line - we believe they knew the cruise was going to be shortened weeks before they notified anyone yet had no consideration to international travelers. (As evidenced by their on-line itinerary). All they were interested in was getting "Bums on seats".
We had to try to frantically re-arrange travel plans ...
We chose this tour out of a lifelong desire to visit Hawaii. We booked with a reputable tour company used previously. ONE WEEK before departure, we were informed by NCL that our cruise was cut short by 1 day due to "manditory dry dock inspection". We were give just a few days to make contacts to decide between 25% credit on future trip or one day's refund. (An employee on the ship told us she knew ...
From start to finish, this cruise was marked with disorganization and poor service! The embarkation (and disembarkation) were chaotic, mass cattle calls with tons of waiting in interminable lines with little or no seating! On entering my cabin, I was greeted with a dead cockroach mid-floor. I am 5'3" tall and could not reach the peephole in the door or even the directions for the safe. I managed ...
