SO BORING....

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

I was so excited to go on this cruise, but it was the most boring cruise I've ever been on! If you don't want a nightlife and enjoy a very quiet cruise where everyone is in bed by 9 or earlier, then this is the cruise for you. BUT, if you want to have FUN all day AND all night, you might want to look elsewhere. There was no sail away party. We set sail at 7pm and the music stopped by 7:30 and the ...

My wife and I wanted to take a first time trip to Hawaii and we wanted to cruise. Norwegian's 7 day inter Island cruise was a perfect fit for us. Our included hotel was the Hilton Hawaiian Village - very busy but very nice. We had an excellent tour guide for our included 4 days in Oahu. I think the Pride of America is a beautiful ship with attractive details and finishes everywhere you ...

Lyft and Uber drivers are not allowed in several ports for pick up, but can drop u off. For the Maui port you have to walk aways over to the drug store. The entertainment was geared towards the senior citizens. It was very boring. The comedian they had that week was funny and the male singing group was pretty good. The pools closed around 7-7:30pm. If you need to iron you can ask your steward to ...

Best way to see Hawaii

We wanted to explore as much of Hawaii as possible with as much convenience as possible so NCL Tour/Cruise was the best choice. We spent three nights in the Hilton Hawaiian Wakiki Village and went on two of the excursions included. The room was spacious and had a really good view of the fireworks Friday night. We went to the Ioni Palace and the Polynesian Cultural Center evening Luau and Show ...

7 day/4 island Hawaiian cruise

We chose this particular cruise because we wanted to see as many Hawaiian islands as possible in our limited amount of time, and for the most part it lived up to our expectations. The NCL staff was universally pleasant & helpful, especially our cabin steward, Eric. I'd read a number of previous reviews stating that staff was unfriendly/unhelpful, but this was not our experience at all. The ship ...

A bad day of cruising is better than a good day at work

This is the fourth cruise line I have cruised with and is the cruise line I would rate the lowest. The other cruise lines I have traveled with utilize a different philosophy regarding customer service. Our cabin stewardess was great, but could only clean the room if we used an outside dial to indicate this. There was no number to call the stewardess that we could find until we turned on the ...

Fantastic Family Experience!

We planned this vacation as a family. The experience from the beginning to the end was fantastic! On the day of embarkation, the staff noticed that my husband was having a hard time walking and offered assistance to the VIP lounge and ticket process. This was way beyond what they needed to do and much appreciated! Our stateroom was clean and exceeded our expectations (7178). Our butler, Mario ...

Wanted to go to Hawaii, never been on Norwegian before; had been on 8 previous cruises with Royal Caribbean and Carnival. Servers in dining room were excellent but this cruise was suppose to be free style dining, but everytime we went to dinner we were asked do you have a reservation, we said no, this was the compimentary dining room not a la carte, sometimes we were given a pager and told we ...

Consider it a floating hotel as a convenience

I don't consider ourselves "cruise" people. In fact, the only other cruise we have taken was 25 years ago for our honeymoon on NCL. We chose Hawaii to celebrate our 25th and compared this cruise to island hopping with checking in/out of airports/hotels. For convenience, we selected the cruise on Pride of America. Cabin: The cabin is small but sufficient for how little time you spend in ...

I had seen many mediocre reviews of this ship, particularly of the service and the crew. But my wife and I found the crew generally helpful and polite, and the food in the buffet and specialty restaurants was very good. We didn't eat in the dining room at all. The cabin walls are thin, so noise in the next cabin may be audible. The pool deck has 4 nice whirlpools; unfortunately, one was out of ...
