This cruise was to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Neither one of us had ever been to Hawaii and we figured it would be the best way to see as much of Hawaii as we could in one trip. We were not wrong. This cruise was a truly amazing adventure.
We had done a lot of research about this cruise and frankly found a lot of negative reviews about the ship and the crew/staff. We found these ...
If you are considering this cruise, ignore all the negative reviews. We have been on more than a dozen cruises, on different lines, and this cruise ranks near the top. The ship is clean and has all the amenities needed for an enjoyable voyage. The crew was very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Our stateroom (penthouse with large balcony) exceeded our expectations and Roland, our butler, ...
My first time to Hawaii and I wanted to see the islands without checking in and out of hotels, lugging my luggage around, transporting to and from airports and wasting all that time! This cruise was the perfect solution! ! Fly into Honolulu - and I suggest staying a day or two before or after - then embarking the ship for the next 7 days taking us to 3 other islands and back to Honolulu. ...
My wife and I are empty nesters both in our early sixties. We are pretty much just average folks who clip coupons, save our pennies, and squirrel away a little bit here and there so we can go on a vacation now and again. Hawaii has always been on our bucket list, but it seemed so far out of reach. So after a lot of research it did seem to be a possibility. Two years ago we purchased a NextCruise ...
I have never done a cruise before. I don't know that I ever will again. I went on this cruise to accompany my 86 year old father and spend some times with friends from Australia. We had a mid-ship cabin with a full view balcony that had a bit of rust. There was plenty of closet space and ample room under the bed. I don't know if this is normal, but the shower was extremely small, making it ...
Took this as a family trip. My father-in-law had Hawaii on his bucket list, but no specific island. Since inter-island travel is by air only in Hawaii, a cruise that gave us a smattering of several seemed a good fit. It was. If you want to get an overview of Maui, Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island, this is it. We had time to get a good look at Maui and Kauai and if you extend in Honolulu you ...
We had a great experience with our first time on NCL. We chose this cruise to maximize our time in Hawaii by seeing as many islands as possible. Before cruising, we spent 4 nights in Kauai (which I would highly recommend!) and after the cruise another 3 days on Oahu.
For our first time in Hawaii, we feel we covered quite a bit in the two weeks we were there.
The staff was amazing on this ...
The shop felt older and it was very small but we knew that going in and didn’t mind so much since there wasn’t any days at sea. Every person that worked on the ship was very nice. I’m a vegan and it was harder for me to find any decent on the ship. But they did try. Royal Caribbean does a much. Yet job at this. The entertainment was below normal cruise standards. Cabin was nice enough. We only ...
Amazing ports of call, but dated ship with underwhelming staff. Here are the pros and cons compared to other ships we have taken:
PROS:
1) Amazing ports of call with enough time to get a true feel for each island.
2) The ship never felt crowded.....only buffet area at times was busy.
3) Liberty dining (complimentary) was outstanding.
4) Great smoke control with smoking limited ...
NCL offers the only cruise that stops at all of the major Hawaiian Islands year round. We have been on a Princess Cruise (to Alaska) and a Carnival Cruise (to the Eastern Carribeaan) and neither of these cruise lines even came close to matching the ease and efficiency NCL provided when it came to embarkation and disembarkation! The ship and cabin were clean and well maintained inside and out, ...
