Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

When I laid down on the extremely hard bed the first night, I had to ask the steward how we could make it any softer. Needless to say, that was the start of a horrible cruise. Once the steward did what he could (which was add a blanket under the sheet), I laid down and realized that I was being attacked by bugs. These weren't bed bugs (thank goodness), but, they were sand fleas. Then the air ...

I didn't care for the decor of the ship at all! Lots of Gold, paintings were ugly, valor...I get it now...presidents, flags, etc... but didn't care for it. We were seated at dinner with another single mom and her 14 y/o daughter and instantly hit it off! This was the highlight of the cruise. The kids enjoyed each others company in the evening eating pizza, ice cream or the arcade together. We ...

We've cruised on Celebrity, Disney and Royal Caribbean and this was our first cruise with Carnival. The positives of the ship were fun night life, plenty of lounge chairs for sunning, excellent piano bar entertainment, nice selection of wines, cabin steward was top notch, food was better than expected due to previous reviews. Negatives include not really seeing the ship get cleaned much nor ...

This was our first cruise. We traveled with our daughters family which included 4 children. The youngest is 5. The staff at carnival helped us along the way to be comfortable right from the moment we walked up to the check in desk to the last moment we walked the final gangway. Our room steward took time to talk to us everyday and share about his own life back home. He knew our names on the ...

Clean, good safe ports, excellent service. The kids loved the ice cream machines. The lemonade and coffee was always good. Enjoyed Fish and Chips. Found it the last couple days. Didn't wait to eat at late seating dining room. 8:15 was too late for young children to eat. We should of signed up for 6:00 right away. That time slot was full. Rented a cabana at margaritaville grand Turk. Good choice ...

After being on other cruise lines, I would recommend this cruise to those who have limited funds: college students, teens, young 20s or families on budgets. The good--Staff was excellent. Really cared. Nice, approachable and mostly ready to help. Room steward and our dining staff were excellent. Most of the bar staff were great. But the bar staff by the pool are so busy they are not very ...

Sailed from Port Canaveral earlier this month after a amazing week spent in Orlando. We met with friends and spent a week on the Valor. Boarding process was initally quiet slow but once through security we were straight through. Firstly the staff were all amazing all friendly and helpful. The food was nothing outstanding and my word of the week at meal times was ' Its ok' we ate in the Lincoln ...

This was my first cruise and my hubby's second. We were very excited since we don't do much traveling and this was a big adventure for me. We met friends in Orlando, FL for a couple of days and it was an amazing time followed by a week on the Valor. The ship was nice, staff was outstanding, very attentive and friendly. Fellow passengers were friendly as well. At each port we got off, we ...

72 yo female taking a third cruise on Carnival. Had not been on Carnival in years. First two cruises were 4 days Drove to PC that morning as I only live approx. 35 mins away. Parked in near by cruise parking business. Valor did show signs of wear and rust noted at exterior points and definitely our balcony. I had misplaced my glasses and looked under my bed for them. The rug under ...

Upon boarding the ship, it took over 6 hours to receive our luggage only to find that every item had been removed in their search for alcohol (2 of our bags had been checked by TSA). No respect for personal property or an effort to keep things the way they were found. While waiting on our luggage, there was a constant barrage of staff pushing poorly overpriced drinks. We are not big fans of ...
