I didn't care for the decor of the ship at all! Lots of Gold, paintings were ugly, valor...I get it now...presidents, flags, etc... but didn't care for it. We've cruised on Celebrity, Disney and Royal Caribbean and this was our first cruise with Carnival. The positives of the ship were fun night life, plenty of lounge chairs for sunning, excellent piano bar entertainment, nice selection of wines, cabin steward was top notch, food was better than expected due to previous reviews.

This was our first cruise. We traveled with our daughters family which included 4 children. The youngest is 5. The staff at carnival helped us along the way to be comfortable right from the moment we walked up to the check in desk to the last moment we walked the final gangway.

Clean,good safe ports, excellent service.The kids loved the ice cream machines. The lemonade and coffee was always good. Enjoyed Fish and Chips. Found it the last couple days. Didn't wait to eat at late seating dining room. 8:15 was too late for young children to eat. We should of signed up for 6:00 right away. That time slot was full.

After being on other cruise lines, I would recommend this cruise to those who have limited funds: college students, teens, young 20s or families on budgets.

Upon boarding the ship, it took over 6 hours to receive our luggage only to find that every item had been removed in their search for alcohol (2 of our bags had been checked by TSA). No respect for personal property or an effort to keep things the way they were found. While waiting on our luggage, there was a constant barrage of staff pushing poorly overpriced drinks.
