Extremely happy with Valor cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Valor

Experienced cruiser and WAS not a big Carnival fan. I choose this sailing because of the embarkation port and the itinerary. This was my 47th cruise and my first as a solo cruiser. I was a little nervous. Drove and parked at the port, 50 minute's from my house in Orlando. I always park at the port for the simple reason of convenience. CT-5 at Port Canaveral just had a large renovation to ...

Took this as a family cruise...we let our (grown) kids pick it out. There was 6 of us traveling...Wife and me (mid 60's) and kids (30 ish). We are veteran cruisers...have been on Princess, Celebrity, Rccl, Norwegian, Viking, Cunard, and Carnival 20 years ago. Most recently, 4 Princess cruises. Based on my memory of 20 years ago, I was a bit leery about Carnival. Guess what...IT WAS GREAT. ...

Valor still our go to Carnival ship

Pre-cruise stay at Country Inns and Suites, near the port. Free shuttle to and from cruise ship. Good continental breakfast. Free parking for duration of cruise. It's now our Go To Place. Paul Cuesta, Alexia, Vi and the rest of the crew at the Country Inns and suites will really take good care of you. Have cruised Valor before and she's just our size, not too large, not too small. Our Dining ...

Went with grandchildren...but the service was terrible Our room steward and dining waiters were very good...but the food was only so so! Nothing exceptional! The lido self serve cafeteria was awful! Like cattle! The Guy Fieri burgers were awful...he needs to check out this for his name sake...very greasy! We had 3 incidences...2 medical and 1 mechanical which was unfortunate....we ...

A Honest and Sad Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Valor

6-10 Cruises • Age 50s

This was my 10th cruise. My in-laws are platinum members and this was for their 50th Anniv. This was my 2nd cruise with Carnival and the longest I have been on. The ship Valor was a good sized boat and in decent shape and clean for the most part. The a/c in our balcony cabin was poor at best. Our group had 3 cabins together and all experienced the lack of cool air. I asked several ...

Super Disorganized

Completely disorganized ship, no one takes accountability besides the wait staff for the customer experience. Been on three carnival cruises and this ship was most boring, cruise director fell short in getting the passengers involved in activities. Carnival kids a disappointment normally I can't get my child out of the centre however on this cruise she wanted no part in the centre. I observed a ...

Another Great Cruise Except Piano Bar; Way To Go, Carnival

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Valor

We are platinum cruisers on Carnival and defer to them because of there rewards program. As I have said in other reviews this was not a perfect cruise but it sure was awesome. There were a number of things that I liked better about this cruise then recent ones. I am a cigar smoker and they had a great area for it with comfortable seating and shade. This area was away from where people would ...

Our First Cruise

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Valor

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

This was our first cruise, but definitely not our last! We chose to visit Bahamas and sailed on the Valor, an amazing ship that had a recent upgrade, met all our expectations, and exceeded in a few. The staff could always be seen catering to people's needs, working on a request, or simply going above and beyond with whatever they were supposed to be doing. Everything was clean, the food was always ...

This cruise was selected due to date, port location and price. Overall, I was very impressed with Valor. The ship was lovely, there were lots of entertainment options, the food was good, the service was excellent and the ports of call were enjoyable. Our favorite was the visit to Half Moon Cay. It was such a lovely beach and the water was so beautiful. My favorite memory from this trip will ...

Carnival Valor - Where Service Goes to Die

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Valor

2-5 Cruises • Age 50s

Every company has that one department or division where they seem to dump their employees who just don't get it, or are incapable of performing at an acceptable level, but don't do enough to get fired. For Carnival, apparently that division is the Valor. This was out 5th Carnival cruise and the worst experience we've had to date. While there were a few crew who stood out for good service, ...
