RELAX, COMFORT AND JOY

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

I choose the cruise (my first) mainly due to the research made by me on internet (Royal Carribean) and due to the cities I was not visiting. The entertainment on the ship was amazing. Cabin was with huge balcony 9654, (2 sunbeds, 2 chairs, 1 table, and still a lot of place to walk between them), bed was excellent, and a lot of place in cabin for wardrobe, relax (couch) desk, the bath room was fair ...

Wanted to visit Mediterranean region this cruise satisfied that requirement. Ship was very clean and all areas were well laid out. Drinks were expensive and no opportunity was missed to try to sell one something which got a little wearing after a while. The stop in Cagliari was a poor option especially as the following full day at sea saw the ship, which usually cruised at 17 knots, only making ...

NOT Family friendly. Miserable experience.

The Jewel of the Seas advertises child care and babysitting, in addition to family friendly activities on the ship (kid pool, etc). What they don't mention anywhere online is that your children need to be over the age of three and fully potty trained to take advantage of any of these. We paid to for two children (both under three) to join us on this cruise, expecting to be able to take advantage ...

Itinerary was excellent but the entertainment was aimed at the Italian majority with lots of Italian only events which angered other nationalities, spoke to entertainment staff but got poor if no response. Food was excellent, emdarkation and disembarkation at Rome brilliant, ship was smaller but feel all rooms not used to there full potential. Service around the ship was very good apart from the ...

Great Getaway on a Nice-Sized Ship

We chose this cruise because of it itinerary, Greece / Italy and because the ship is very nice in terms of size/scale. The embarkation and disembarkation process was very smooth. Our cabin was very nice and our steward handled our requests quickly. I think the food in the dining room could be improved; however, the wait staff in for our table were very nice and attentive. With regards ...

The entertainment was very poor and we ended up skipping the last few, the constant translating in 2 other languages besides English was frustrating and made everything boring and monotonous. But the staff were excellent and they worked very hard, the rooms were very clean and the food was good. I needed to contact a private shore tour company to confirm a pick up time and the guest relations ...

The cleaning service room was bad the bathroom sink and toilet look old with stains, look terrible, but the service at dinning room "My Time" was excellent specially at our table 550 servers: Joseph Fernandes and Franky Fernandes they are excellent with the costumers. The time in Palma de Mallorca was too short. We thing that the people in charge has to evaluate the time at the island because ...

A wonderful way to have an anniversary

Having been on this cruise ship some 18 times in the last 10 years we decided that this was our ship for our anniversary. Knowing quite a number of the crew over the years also made this trip a wonderful experience. Due to personal circumstances we prefer this size of ship rather than the new huge ships which we find too large. There is a real family feel around the ship and it says it all when ...

Amazing experience!!! It's one of the most pretty cruise I have ever seen, I mean it's not that kind of cruise in which there are more guest than it should be.It's huge, well decorated, quaint, really luxurious, chic, smart and elegant. This ships is 13 years but it hasn't losen its charm thanks to its attractions and the refresh of the last year. the continental food was excellent and specially ...

I was expecting more for Royal Caribbean, Their reputation has been always outstanding. This time we were in a group of 12 people, 9 adults, 2 kids and 1 baby. The Cabin was good, but for the room where we required a crib there was not space for the play pan that the cruise provided, even though we were in a balcony suit. The dinning experience in the main dinning room was not great, we have ...
