This cruise had Great Destinations in 9 days.Services on board excelent. But the Shore excursions too expensive.Shows on board are ok nothing special. Cabin ok with few issues with the bed (queen size, unlevel).Shopping on board very poor. Dining poor with same food everyday (indian ,same dishes, mashed potato and rosimary garlic chicken and same pasta ,all 09 days). We call the chef and made a ...

Loved touring Italy, Malta and Greece. Sicily was my favorite! Mykonos and Santorini were both lovely. Athens was very interesting, especially the Acropolis. Rome was amazing. I was disappointed with the level of service in the Tides dining room and from our room steward. I have cruised many times, on Royal Caribbean and several other cruise lines over the years, and have always enjoyed ...

Wow! My best cruise ever. Everything was perfect. The dinning rlyoom was the best of all the cruise a take before. The Jewel is a perfect boat for us...not to big. You should put a camera on the activités on the deck because the class of Zumba are so great. I think all the deck on top would like ti see and dance. The ambiance and the respect for the staff look great to. We are grand ...

We had a most enjoyable time on this cruise. Getting from the Airport in Rome to the ship in Civitavecchia was giving me nightmares before we left but it turned out to be super easy. Everyone at the airport spoke English and the way to the train is clearly marked. We stayed at La Marina B&B the night before and I highly recommend it. It was a 2 min walk to the port gate and the ...

The itinerary was interesting and others had recommended Royal Caribbean. We booked with our Tavel agent and they were helpful. Embarkation was quite good and stress free. The ship was attractive and very clean. The staff were wonderful and the food fantastic. Get the drinks package because everything is expensive Even if you, like us, only really enjoy a few glasses of wine and a good coffee. Our ...

Diamond club members that have always had a good experience with RC. Our concierge Diego was outstanding in every way possible,we never wanted for anything. Service In all areas was never lacking. Our suite was always clean and well maintained. In the past we have tried other cruise lines but always come running back to RC. The only negative point that I can think of was the on board ...

We live in New Zealand so a trip to Europe is a big deal (27 hours on the plane!!), and we'd been planning a 4 week holiday with our 10 year old for over a year - and we'd decided that the centerpiece was going to be a cruise incorporating the Greek Islands. Quick summary of tips and lessons learned • Book the cruise yourself or at least advise which cabins you want (or want to avoid) even ...

Expectation Levels too high?

We went with 2 other couples and chose this cruise because of the itinerary and misguided advice that Royal Caribbean was a step up in class and quality to what we have been used to in the past (Thompsons/TUI). Perhaps our expectation levels were too high however and maybe it is unfair to make comparisons based on what we like, but this was definitely not our experience. I think the main problem ...

First let me say that we are fairly seasoned cruisers with this being our 17th. This cruise was a 9 day cruise to the Greek Isles. It would be our first ever trip to Europe so we knew our expectations might be somewhat high. Our flight overseas was an overnight flight and we arrived in Rome well rested at 9:00 AM. We decided to book two extra days in Rome at the beginning of our trip and it turned ...

We chose this cruise because it fitted our busy schedule. We have travelled with RCI once before, some years ago and rated that cruise very highly. It appears that standards have dropped since then. The Balcony Cabin was tired and needs refurbishment. The cabin fittings were clearly past their best with worn woodwork clearly visible. The mattress was too firm, but our Cabib lady, Roxy, ...
