Great cruise

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Embarkation was very easy and simply. Cabin a little small, but definitely bring an extension cord. Could not even use the outlet in bathroom. Speciality restaurants not worth the money. Overrated and overpriced. The regular dining rooms and buffets are just as good. Signs need to be posted in buffet lines “please do not eat off your plate until seated at your table”. I saw people eating from ...

Princess did an outstanding job on this itinerary from day 1 to day 10, it was perfect. The staff in the lounges, restaurants and housekeeping were a "10" cum-laude. Too bad I cannot say the same for the pay-outs at the gaming tables, perhaps it was my fault not knowing when to quit. LOL My compliments to Angelo the Maitre 'D and Guido your Executive Chef who ran a great service in and out ...

Panama Canal from the Atlantic

My wife and I took the Panama Canal cruise in April 2018, 10 days and 5 ports. The good: weather was excellent; cruise staff was courteous and helpful; stateroom well kept; food choices generally excellent, although I missed fruits like papaya; exercise room well kept, ample equipment; a good variety of music, and dance classes; free on demand movies. My wife spent some time at the spa, ...

Cruising in real time

I chose this cruise for the Panama Canal. I didn’t want to go on holland because of the age of most guests. I made a huge mistake. The refit of 8 mil. Didn’t change the feel of a old ship. The rooms are tiny. I’m a single and I still feel cramped. No bathtub tiny tiny shower. Loads of staff but not very friendly. Like they are doing you a favor. Food in lido is horrible. Unimaginative not very ...

Enjoyed our cruise

The cruise was given to us as a Christmas gift. We enjoyed our time at sea, most of the food, the atmosphere and the ability to watch a movie under the stars. The food was good except for the pizza at the "Slice" restaurant and the hamburgers served in the dining room. We were very disappointed in them. Often, going down the hallway to our cabin you could spell a strong sewer smell other than ...

I wanted to sail through the new canal. An excursion allowed me to also travel through the old canal. It was a thrill. I liked the improvements made since my last cruise on Princess. The food was much better and I really liked being able to communicate with those in my group through the Princess internet. What a fantastic idea. The service was fantastic. Our dining room experience was ...

I was introduced to the cruise by a friend. The person who arranged everything has had about five cruises, and she is eager to go again. She loves cruises.Sharon was very anxious to show us the ropes. I enjoyed the shopping on the Princess Caribbean. Everyone was quite friendly and helpful. I dined at one of the restaurants on two ocassions. Embarkation and Disembarkation was a breeze. ...

Staff experience varied widely - some superstars serve on this ship

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Getting on and off of the ship was easy with little delay or confusion. Itinerary was the prime motivator along with a relatively recent renovation. Renovation did not mean that the storage drawer tracks were in good working order however. The wear and tear was evident though overall service, Princess Entertainment, the International Cafe (food and service) and the dining room service were ...

I chose this cruise for the port convenience. It has been a dream to see the Panama Canal. The passengers were older and their gears obstructed most of halls, centers, restaurants, etc. I enjoyed watching many of the older passengers dance, talk and interrelate with others. The food was standard as in other cruises. The music for dancing was not appropriate for this type of cruises passengers ...

Choose this curise because it was not a back to back. And it did not cover the same route and go back to ft.Lauderdale and return to the Caribbean for part two of the same curise , did not like the Hilton marina the hotel was fine but it was not in walking distance to any stores or restrants now the embassy was perfect but was booked full a year before our curise not princesses fault The ship ...
