This was my families third cruise. I would not recommend this ship at all. The ship had a constant vibration at all times which made it hard to sleep at night. The food in the dining room did not taste good and there was not much variety on the menu each night. On past cruises we have been on the service in the dining room was normally excellent, on this cruise we waited for quite a while on our ...
We were looking for a get-away and Princess is always a good bet. Itinerary was so so. Stateroom C406 balcony was very good. Well placed. Excellent embarkation. Quick and professional. Room was ready. Bags arrived at 2 pm. Excellent steward. Always had fresh ice. No production show 1st nite. Excellent show “Bravo” 2nd nite. Good ship nite activities. Buffet “Marketplace” 3/10 on a good day. ...
Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth and quick. But the food was horrible. In 7 days I never got a piece of seafood that wasn't overcooked, nor a piece of beef that wasn't tough. Lobster was inedible. Desserts were beautiful but not tasty (I was really looking forward to the ice cream because I'm addicted to it, but it was icy and full of crystals). Chocolate was all dark and bitter. ...
7 day Southern Caribbean. Ship feels old and outdated. Elevators are very slow and cannot accommodate the many summer passengers. Casino is too small and cannot accommodate all gamblers. Although, they had a craps table. They get a star for that one. It is a reoccurring theme with this ship. Food was standard for a average cruise ship. No wonderful meals like I had on Holland. The ports ...
It was our anniversary and we are trying cruise lines other than Carnival. We were fortunate to get upgraded to a Club Class mini-suite. We had booked an accessible balcony but when we were offered an upgrade we jumped on it since I could fold my wifes wheelchair and carry it in the room. Darn we got spoiled in the Club Class dining room. Our servers were first rate especially Marvin, Greys ...
This was an 8-night cruise to the Dutch islands of Curacao, Bonaire, and Aruba, and the dates worked well for us. As a second cruise on Princess within a year (first one was in Alaska), the Caribbean Princess was very disappointing.
On the positive side:
Our cabin was nice -- a mini-suite with a balcony and real bathroom with a tub. Very comfortable bedding and air conditioning worked well. ...
This was my first cruise with Princess and as a result of my experience, it will definitely be my last. Prior to booking, I had this impression that Princess was an elite cruising brand. I expected more of them than I would a Carnival, Norwegian or Royal Caribbean cruise line.
I could not have been more wrong. Let's start with the PROS since its a short list.
PROS:
Embarkation - ...
We chose this cruise because we liked the 10 nights to some of the islands we have visited before. My wife and I have cruised on the Caribbean Princess 5 times. We really like all of our other cruises on this ship. Everythinng was really good. This time though was really bad for us. Entertainment was sub-par for us. After seing some of the shows and entertainers, I think I will come up with ...
My girlfriend and I (both in our late 50's) went on the newly refurbished Caribbean Princess and she did not disappoint. This was our third cruise together (sailed together previously on NCL and HAL). However, this was my 53rd cruise and her 57th cruise. We have been on enough cruise ships to know whats really good and what is not. We live in S. Florida and this allows the opportunity to cruise ...
We picked this ship because liked the itinerary and length of the cruise.
Embarkation and disembarkation were excellent.
All of the cruise staff was excellent!
Could have had more activities on the ship.
Most of the entertainment was very good.
The dining in the dining room was very good as were the wait staff.
We were extremely disappointed with the changes in the Buffet. Much ...
