While this is not my first time cruising, it was my first time on Princess. I have to say the service, staff and food were all exceptional. The staff was the most attentive of any cruise I have been on and seemed like there were a lot more staff on this cruise than I have encountered on other cruise lines.
The entertainment was adequate, but nothing that stood out. Of course, we were not on ...
Best value for money, compared to other destinations and length of cruise. We visited ports and countries we would never have visited had we not been on this cruise. Lots to do on board the ship even when we had 6 days in a row at sea. Great variety of activities on board. From hand crafts to exercise classes, singing, dancing, banjo playing. Bible study classes to Bingo. Movies on the big screen ...
We received an up grade to a balcony cabin, had an excellent cabin crew member,Bambang. Rarely had any spare time as there was so much organized activity to keep us occupied. The ports visited in many cases were a first time for the ship and ourselves. We were offered a large choice of shore tours at each stop which we really enjoyed. The food choice and range was excellent at any dining place ...
We chose this cruise as it was an excellent deal. It was our first cruise so we can’t compare with other cruises. The ship had just been refurbished, we were upgrades to a balcony, it was great only way to go. Our room was pleasant bed was awesome, great service by our steward. We were on deck 10 towards the bow, I would choose mid ship deck 10 or deck 11, if it was very rough seas near the bow ...
Ports of Call were our main reason for choosing this cruise.
Ship was tired. Many unhosted events. Some of the guests were voluntary speakers onboard.
Crew service was brilliant in some areas and woeful with attitude in other areas. Many crew seemed as though they didn’t want to be there.
I am convinced Phillippino crew are the best.
Entertainment was downright poor,
Cabin was ...
Chose this cruise for the ports. Princess cruises is usually our first choice. The Sapphire Princess had just come from a refurbishment which was great. New beds , new flat screen TV's, new carpets etc. Embarkation went smoothly approx 45 min. Our first port was Sri Lanka then Cochin. Did the backwater tour in Cochin (ship tour). We really enjoyed all the ports. The weather was good and very ...
Good value for money. Very disappointed that Happy Hour had been taken off all Princess Cruises. Food was great. I have noticed portion size has decreased which is a great thing. Entertainment was very ordinary. I enjoyed the few days from Singapore. The entertainment progressively got worse. I found the activities on board not to my liking. This was my 5th Princess cruise and it was the ...
Great itinerary, great staff, horrible in your face sales ploys. Princess has lost its way and has now totally conformed to the Carnival model of every square inch of the ship needs to be a profit center. Library is a joke. Future cruise is now in the library with all the lines of passengers and high decible noise to go with it. Photo sales takes up an insanely large area with high price photos ...
Mostly the staff were polite & very helpful, however I tired of the constant 'You're Welcomes' when I thanked people as it was said without conviction & mostly without eye contact.
The ship was very tired looking & indeed a bit shabby in places - I understand it's having a spruce up as I type this post.
The food in all venues was mediocre to say the least & nothing excited me at all, the ...
Having done 2 cruises basically back to back, with the first cruise being Royal Caribbean, I think the RCI cruise just noses out the Princess cruise for overall satisfaction. But that said, once we found the friendliest crew, we kept going back to their areas (bars, restaurants etc) as some crew did their job, and did it well, but I just didn’t get the feeling that they were 100% happy in their ...
