How else could you get a short visit to the Holy Land?

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

Itinerary was excellent. Two days in Israel and some other ports of call that are attractive in different ways that were easily accessible. That was the main attraction. The ship was old but looked well cared for. The sailing was very smooth and cabin comfortable if a little lacking in storage capacity. We found the ship's staff to be friendly and efficient and the ship to be very ...

We just returned early this morning from Venice, and an 11 day Holy Land cruise with Norwegian. Amazing itinerary: Israel, Crete, Cyprus, Rhodes, Split, Montenegro. Trip of a lifetime. We loved the ship food. I especially loved the Southern biscuits and wings in one of the eateries, plus the buffet always had something for everyone. Our favorite was the dining room food, for lunch and ...

STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE SLIPPING

Of our numerous cruise experiences, this was our fourth one with NCL and ranks in fourth place of our NCL experiences. This was our third time on the NCL Spirit. This time we saw signs of the need to update and refurbish. Carpet is spotted and stained and coming apart at seams in places. Attention to detail for the passenger was lacking in many regards; especially for persons with ...

We were a little apprehensive going onto the Spirit because we'd most recently been on the Epic and thought that the size difference would be a problem. We couldn't have been more wrong - it was delightful. The boarding could have been better, but this was delayed due to an IT issue that meant they couldn't scan anyone's passes. Once that was fixed, the boarding proceeded at a much quicker ...

Sailed from Venice to Israel over the Easter break. The ports were fantastic Haifa Israel, Rhodes Town Rhodes, Limassol Cyprus, Kotor Montenegro, Split Croatia and back to Venice. We sailed on an inside cabin which was very comfortable and had a good sized En-Suite. The restaurant food was great and the service and staff could not be faulted. The evening shows were good entertainment and very ...

Great staff, Old ship

This was our second cruise on the Spirit and it's showing its age. The staff works hard to make it look fresh but the decor needs updating and some maintenance is required to meet the standard of other ships in the NCL fleet. Interesting ports was our primary reason for selecting this cruise. We ate at speciality restaurants six nights and found them all to be very good. They are definitely a step ...

We chose this cruise mainly because of its itinerary. The ship itself was nothing to write home about but served the purpose just fine. We are not wall climbers or wave runner people so none of that stuff was missed. If you are looking for a lot of action, this ship is not for you. If you are content with relaxing and some occasional entertainment you'll fit right in. We embarked in Venice, ...

Last cruise to the Holy Land before the arbitrary cancellation (boycott) .

The only reason I chose this cruise was the two night stay in Haifa Israel and the assurances from my cruise consultant that Shore Excursions in Jerusalem would include at least one that would be Jewish. All were Christian. They included churches but no Temples or Synagogues like maybe the Hurva in old Jerusalem. Luckily I was able to see the Western Wall and Mount of Olives, at least. I was less ...

We chose the Norwegian Spirit for the Itinerary and also the price. I am so glad we didn't overlook this fantastic ship when reading some of the previous reviews were anything to go by. We had the holiday of a lifetime. We had never been to Europe before and agree that on- board shore excursions are very expensive but you DONT have to book them !!!! We gladly saved up and went on the ships tours ...

Barcelona is always an amazing embarkation port. So much to do, so much to see every time we go. The city is beautiful. Plus the port is only 10 mins away MAX! We have cruised on the NCL spirit before over Christmas 2014 - then we had only cruised with Disney, so we were pleasantly surprised with the spirit. Since then, it has never disappointed. We are a family of 4, with two teenagers who ...
