Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We chose this cruise because of the great price and for the ports. The embarkation was very smooth ans fast and we were at the buffet within about 30min of our arrival. The ship shows some wear and tear and I think it is due for refurbishing. Worst problem in our cabin was that we could not have cold water in the sink to brush our teeths, best case water was warm. The beds were a little hard. ...

We are late 50’s boomers and this was our 27th cruise since we started in 2008 and our 18th cruise with Norwegian. We chose this 21-day back-to-back cruise because of the excellent itinerary in the Med and the Canary Islands, but were a little worried about Spirit being one of Norwegian’s oldest and smallest ships. Our worries proved completely unfounded! This “little” ship is aptly named; as ...

We are an active senior citizen couple who enjoy cruising. This was our second cruise with Norwegian .After a 6 night stay in Rome we took the train to Civitavechia. We got there around 1:00, boarding went very smoothly. The room was ready for us and our bags were brought in around 3:00. We went to Raffles and enjoyed a nice lunch. The lifeboat drill was long and boring but we were used to ...

My food experience on Norwegian Spirit

This was my fifth cruise with NCL and second cruise on the Spirit. Personally I liked the size of the ship: mid-size, with about 2000 passengers on board. I didn't feel overly crowded. The decor was elegant, with Asian inspired art work throughout the ship. I noticed a lot of people criticized the food on NCL, but I noticed the food on the Spirit has noticeably been improved since my last ...

Just returned from my E. Mediterranean cruise on the Spirit. I choose this cruise specifically for the ports. I flew into Rome two days early. I organized two shared shuttles with Civitavecchia Shuttle Express. They arrived on time both times. The boarding process was quick and smooth. I thought the ship was fine, for me this is just a mode of transportation to get from port to the next. I've ...

I saw an advert for the cruise of the the Eastern Mediterranean, which reminded me of the days spent in this area with the Royal Navy, many years ago. The embarkation and disembarkation was so easy, compared with other cruise lines we had traveled with in the past. There were two places where the ship could not go alongside, they did NOT mess about with Tenders, in both places they had hired ...

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary for the Meditterrean. This was my 12th cruise and 3rd cruise with Norwegian. I was very disappointed in the ship. The crew was not very friendly - rude at times. All onboard activities and beverages were very expensive. The service was ok but there was nothing personal about the service. We only saw our cabin steward twice, but our cabin was ...

Fabulous Crew

We chose it as it had the best itinerary as we wanted to see highlights of Greece and Malta and Sicily were an added bonus. The crew were amazing no matter what area they worked in. The ship is immaculate and not too big to be overwhelming. Exactly enough things to do on board if you were so inclined and the entertainment was top notch including Dave's fun games. The only thing I found expensive ...
