Enjoyable cruise with a great itinerary

Review for a Asia Cruise on Diamond Princess

My main reason for selecting this cruise was the itinerary—a chance to experience parts of Asia for the first time. That was certainly the highlight of the trip for me. The cruise itself was enjoyable. I was initially unsure if I had made a wise choice selecting a room right by the elevator and stairs, but I loved it. I rarely heard any noise and it was really handy. I had a room with an ...

My husband and I took our very first cruise on the Diamond Princess in 2014. It was a 7 night trip from Tokyo to Hong Kong. We deliberately chose a short itinerary as we weren’t convinced that we were going to enjoy cruising. It was also our first trip to Japan, but our fifth visit to Hong Kong which a city we adore. It turned out there was no need to worry whether we would like cruising or not, ...

Awesome Holiday!

Chose this cruise because it fitted in with school holiday dates and Princess had been highly recommended to us. Entertainment on board was of outstanding quality. Went to most shows and thoroughly enjoyed them all. There was so much to do on board, it was hard to choose what to go to on sea days but we were certainly never bored! My 15 year old daughter enjoyed the teen club. The only port ...

The best cruise I have ever been to!!!

This is the best cruise journey I have ever been to. It was 10 days and there were no rough waters. So if you have seasickness, this is the best option for you!!! There are a lot of options to eat from the buffets to the pubs. The beds are really comfortable and I highly recommend the Balcony beds. But if you have some money in your pockets, try the Suites. The first time, I tried the suites and ...

This cruise was booked as it took in Ports we had never been to before which included Viet Nam & Cambodia. The first impression of the Ship was the Boarding which was the best we had ever had. Our cases were at our Cabin door before we got there. Unfortunately it went down hill from there. We found out very soon after boarding that the ship was going into a dry dock refit as soon as our ...

A Taste of Asia

We chose this cruise so that we could gain an idea of revisiting the different ports we called into. We organised our own private tours through www.tourswithlocals.com because the ship tours were very expensive. Don't be intimidated about the possibility of the ship leaving without you. This is a professional company and the tour guides are also very good at what they do. Having a local show you ...

Princess cruises was recommended to us, but I've had better. Rooms were lovely, meals good, service was good, but the ship was looking tired. The carpet by the pool was torn up and was an accident waiting to happen. Getting the hairdryer fixed in our cabin took two days. Never enough staff on reception. You had to queue for ages to get your disembarkation tags. Why wasn't they sent to your ...

Disappointed

We chose this cruise because it was going to places not seen before and ship was recommended by friends. Compared with other ships, we found Diamond Princess too big, our cabin too far from facilities. (800 metres to go to breakfast)! Cabin was small but well maintained. There were too many activities for us so it was not a relaxing experience. Theatre was excellent, good lighting & sound and ...

Diamond (Roundtrip-Singapore) 4-11 March 2017

We booked Diamond for its itinerary, and it was an 8-day round trip cruise from Singapore to Phuket, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh. It was perfect with a few sea days enough for rest and relaxation. Embarkation was terrible! Singapore immigration was terribly slow and all cruisers had a long wait at the lounge and it was really terrible, we were cold and hungry and my snack ran out before another ...

We choose this cruise for the ports of call. We had a lovely time meeting other cruise critics who were lovely. To Ron for organising tour of Vietnam was fantastic. The Diamond Princess was lovely. The cabin was great The obstructed window was very good with only a tender boat taking up a fraction of it so was easy to see ports of call and very light and airy.Would have no problem booking ...
