Enjoyable Cruise to New England/Canada

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Had been wanting to take a New England/Canadian cruise for a couple of years, so chose this cruise because it offered a date that worked for us. We’ve cruised w/this line before and like the size of this ship. Some thoughts: Embarkation: Not the smoothest we’ve ever encountered. Lots of long lines, and there was a computer snafu, which caused a major back-up for boarding the ship. Rooms ...

Embarking at Boston around noon-ish went very smooth and fast with sunny skies and a temp near 80. A bite at Windjammer and then cabins were opened around 1:00. Performers around the pool deck as we left the harbor (with the NFL game of the week on the big screen). Giovannti's Table for the first night with our friendly server Luiz then off to the 7:15 welcome aboard show at the ...

First time going north. Chose this ship and port (Boston) for a new experience. Getting on the ship was super easy. Uber from the hotel dropped us off at the entrance. Showed passport and sea pass and was on our way. Interior cabin again. Spacious but (as always) difficult to tell time. Bed mattress were well worn. could use replacing/revitalizing Main Dinning room (MyTime dinning). ...

New England Cruise was great

We chose this cruise to see New England and the fall colors. We did not see much of the fall colors because of recent warm weather and wrong timing but the cruise experience made up for it. We had an absolutely wonderful trip. We flew to Boston and spent one day walking the beautiful city, eating good food and seeing some of city highlights on our own. Weather was fantastic. The next day we ...

NOT WORTH IT

Travelled with adult family to celebrate 50th anniversary....poor poor poor. Drink package was great other than the wait for the drinks. Honestly carnival had much better food at their main dining room service and norwegian was a total step above. State room service was about the only thing that impressed me (*rocky). The overall poor performance of the casino staff, bartenders, wait staff and ...

This was our first cruise to New England and Canada. We were for the most part pleased with everything. There were a few areas for improvement but overall we had a great time. We stayed the night before the cruise at a hotel in Chelsea and spent the afternoon in Boston. It was a great afternoon and evening! Lots to see and do. The next morning, we took an Uber to the cruise terminal for ...

I thought the food was supposed to be good??

Friends talked us into going on one. The raved about the food and the availability of it. I found it difficult to get a snack such as chips or nuts anywhere. The food was not good. The only meals we enjoyed were the ones we had to pay extra for. Funny how that works. Also some of the excursions planned by the cruise seemed really enjoyable but once on the bus the tour guide was not that well ...

Chose this cruise because a good friend had done it last year. We wanted to see Canada and New England. Going Ashore was great . We got to see beautiful cities and eat local cuisine. The people were very friendly . I will probably not take another cruise. We had purchase the beverage package, therefor we ask if we could get some bottled water for our room. We were told it would cost $4.00 ...

The price was right for this cruise and we have always wanted to go to the New England area and Canada where this cruise went. Our cabin lady was terrific and unobtrusive. Our waiter in the main dining room was great. The food was top notch except for some of the seafood choices we made. We had hurricanes behind us that caused a great deal of fog in Bar Harbor, Maine and Portland, Maine. We ...

Starving on a Cruise Ship

The ship is scheduled for dry dock soon so we knew she would be worn and tired. We were happy with her overall appearance. The cabin again was worn and tired but worked for us. One of the drawers was very difficult to open but nothing we couldn't live with for a week. There was an odor similar to sewer gases in the bathroom all week. For some reason maintenance came mid-cruise and replaced ...
