We booked this cruise when we were on board last year because we really liked the itinerary. Embarkation was very quick and leaving the ship was very smooth as well.
Everything was as good as last year except for service in the bars. It took noticeably longer to get a drink on virtually every occasion due to not enough service staff. That wasn't a problem last January so I can only assume ...
This is the first time I have ever written concerning any vacation or cruise I have taken. This is because I am a very laid back person and realize that sometimes thing will go wrong on any trip or vacation. So, I have learned to go with the flow and don’t sweat the little things in life even when one of the islands I wanted to see was replace with one I been to last year because of the ...
My wife and I like getting the history of the Caribbean. So visiting the islands and taking the tours is a wonderful way to get the history. We are committed to Royal Caribbean. We don't think you can get a better deal, or quality cruise line for your money. Serenade is laid out very well to get around on. We had an ocean view cabin, and loved the available storage, and view. We just booked our ...
RCCL has made some changes that I do not like, but they are not just for Serenade. They have cut out providing toiletries in the bathroom so plan to bring your own. Also the little pat of soap was almost useless. I suggest bringing good soap especially if you want to use an antibacterial soap. This class of ship is much easier to get around on and has the lovely Centrum instead of those ...
Family needed a short cruise due to school and work vacations. It was cold most of the time, especially in Key West on Wednesday. So, lots of time was spent on ship.
Room size was great but little signs everywhere showed the age of the ship.
Food was adequate except for scrambled eggs. They were downright awful. I ask the chef in windjammer to make scramble eggs for me. They were worse than ...
We have been on Serenade of the Seas a year ago and loved it, and decided to go on the same ship. This was my 23 cruise, and have been on a lot of ships, we always get a Balcony, but this was by far the smallest cabin we have ever had. We had to shift to let the other one pass. We were on Deck 9, and it cost us about $3500.00, but we were very disappointed.
The food was excellent ...
We chose this cruise for a couple of reasons. The first being that we had been on her before and had a great time. The second was the itinerary. We wanted to hit some of the further south islands, but we did not want to fly so a 10 night is the perfect answer to that.
The Serenade is recently out of dry dock and she is in really nice shape. She is shining beautifully. We did see a few older ...
We are Diamond members with RCL and have been cruising with them for over 30 years.
We were completely taken aback with how the level of service has gone down recently.
We love cruising and have always had an amazing time on RCL. There have always been little things in the past, but nothing that I would ever consider writing or complaining about. This time, I really feel as though I needed ...
This was our first time cruising with Royal. We have been on other cruise ships in the past. Embarkation was so fast it was shocking, leaving on a Friday there were no other ships to check in. The ship is clean and the crew was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the windjammer food and there was always a variety to chose from. We also ate several nights in the Main dining room which was also ...
We chose this cruise because of the Itinerary and we had heard a lot of good things about Royal Caribbean. Embarkation was smooth but we like to carry our own luggage on and we were not allowed to. Food selection in the Windjammer buffet dining room was exceptional and the food was very good. Staff was very friendly, very nice and accommodating. Cons: No ironing stations or laundry room. This was ...
