We have been cruising with Royal Caribbean for 10 years. This was the worst ship for families we have ever experienced. First, no babysitting service. Every cruise we have gone on has had babysitting service. This did not and they are not able to accommodate. We prepaid to eat in the specialty restaurants every night thinking that we'd have sitter service.
The kids rooms were old and ...
I chose this cruise because I think a week is too short, and it was offered over spring break.
This was my first Royal cruise. I was told I can't base this ship on being a Royal comparison, but since it is all I have, this is my comparison. I have cruised 5 times on NCL, and 1 Disney. I thought this would be way worth it since I had a 14yr old, and I figured there would be so many more teen ...
The St. Thomas Scenic Harbor Cruise and Shopping excursion was a sham.
It was not a tour. It was an slow and expensive water taxi ride straight to town and after a short time a ride straight back to ship on the same route as before. A land taxi ride was $4 US. This cost much more and did not give us enough time to shop and sightsee.
Unable to watch anything on TV because they did not have ...
My friend and I chose this cruise for it's destinations, having pretty much exhausted the Mediterranean (we live in the UK). We like the smaller ships, so that you can see people more than once! However, I think for another 10 day cruise I'd go for the next size up. We flew in to Fort Lauderdale the day before, staying locally overnight and going straight to the port for embarkation, so we ...
We chose this cruise because it was 10 days with 5 ports of call. We find that a week cruise is just not long enough. We enjoyed the Islands St.Maarten is still great but certainly did miss going to orient beach. I hope by the time we go to this island again this side will be rebuilt and recovered. St Thomas was great as usual, we go to Emerald beach whch is full service and so pretty. St Kitts ...
Like the smaller ships, and enjoyed the ports in the Southern Caribbean although 5 in a row left us tired and worn out. Should break up the port days with a day at sea. Staff always friendly, guest services always promptly answered your calls with satisfaction to your inquiries. Main dining room food quality great, service was SLOW though and not always did you receive what you ordered. Onboard ...
I think cruising is the the best way to relax and enjoy without worries. De-stressing. A lot of variety in the meals, great quality, and taste. Very friendly staff. Beautiful beach locations to enjoy the day. The most beautiful island St. Kitts. In St. Croix they need to get more beach excursion, however it was very easy to find a local excursion in the port, the same in Martinica. We went to ...
If ever on The Serenade, visit Chops Grill one night, great steak! Stay away from My Time Dining. The dining room staff have not figured it out yet. I had reservations every night and had to wait every night. Pool staff did not have a clue as how to handle saving of chairs by the pool. The entertainment was very poor. The RC singers were terrible. No name entertainment a couple of nights that were ...
To start with my wife and I are pretty easy to keep happy, yet they failed in every way possible. While we have enjoyed RC cruise lines in the past, this one was a FAIL in all aspects and not just by our opinion but also by MANY in asked for comments by others. The Ship was clean and on time getting to and leaving ports, and while a good thing, that should not be the best thing about the trip. ...
Picked Serenade Narch 30 for the itinerary. Had never been to St Croix and St Kitts.
Serenade is the 3rd Radiance class ship we have sailed on.
It’s pretty perfect to us. Distance between stateroom and dining room, Windjammer, Centrum, really anywhere is short. For someone with mobility problems it’s wonderful.
Our service all the way round was excellent. In the dining room I asked ...
