We have been cruising with Royal Caribbean for 10 years. This was the worst ship for families we have ever experienced. First, no babysitting service. Every cruise we have gone on has had babysitting service. This did not and they are not able to accommodate. We prepaid to eat in the specialty restaurants every night thinking that we'd have sitter service.

The St. Thomas Scenic Harbor Cruise and Shopping excursion was a sham.
It was not a tour. It was an slow and expensive water taxi ride straight to town and after a short time a ride straight back to ship on the same route as before. A land taxi ride was $4 US. This cost much more and did not give us enough time to shop and sightsee.

We chose this cruise because it was 10 days with 5 ports of call. We find that a week cruise is just not long enough. We enjoyed the Islands St.Maarten is still great but certainly did miss going to orient beach. I hope by the time we go to this island again this side will be rebuilt and recovered. If ever on The Serenade, visit Chops Grill one night, great steak! Stay away from My Time Dining. The dining room staff have not figured it out yet. Picked Serenade Narch 30 for the itinerary. Had never been to St Croix and St Kitts.
Serenade is the 3rd Radiance class ship we have sailed on.
It’s pretty perfect to us. Distance between stateroom and dining room, Windjammer, Centrum, really anywhere is short. For someone with mobility problems it’s wonderful.
