Embarkment:
We arrived at Marina Bay Cruise Centre about 12pm, not many ppl around. We were told to place our bags which were then to be transported to the ship. We made our way inside, where we were had to go through customs. We then were given a medical questionnaire to fill out and proceed to a queue where we would receive our sea passes. They gave us immigration forms which we just had to ...
We were a family of 10 cruising together for the second time with RCI. Previous cruise was from Sydney Australia to New Zealand on Voyager of the Seas, so we couldn't help but compare as Mariner and Voyager are of the Voyager class.
Embarkation:
We travelled to the Singapore port terminal (Marina Bay Cruise Centre) by taxi from Marina Bay Sands hotel so it was a short journey, arriving around ...
A 7 day cruise along the West coast of Malaysia and Thailand meant there was a full turnaround of guests embarking in Singapore. The process seemed to be well handled, and smooth, with relatively short queues.
Once on board, a buffet lunch was on offer in the main dining rooms whilst waiting for stateroom preparations to be completed by 1pm, which they duly were.
Our ocean view stateroom was ...
We are Royal Anchor & Crown Diamond member and we do at least one RC cruise per year.
Many of them out of Singapore.
Our latest one on the Mariner of The Seas was a big disappointment. It seems that RC has modified their formula to cater to the new rich Chinese market.
I can understand that as a company you want to capitalise on new markets, but I feel they should do that with a product that ...
Went on a 3 nights cruise from Singapore to Penang (and back) in late January 2015.
Embarkation at Marina Bay Cruise Centre was smooth and quick. In fact, much quicker than the previous cruise I went on. The same efficiency was so for shore excursions at Penang and final disembarkation. This impressed me quite a bit.
Complimentary dining was above average in standard, though it does get ...
This was our first cruise, and it was a taster to see if it was something that we would like and to do more of, and the answer was absolutely yes!!
The Mariner of the Seas is an incredible ship, and impressed us from the start from the easy embarkation to the pleasant and very friendly staff. Everything seemed to run incredibly smooth and we could not get over that every single staff member would ...
Cruising out of Singapore Dec. 29th with my wife over the new year's eve to Kuala Lumpur for 5 nights. Having cruised with RCL before on board of the Allure, Oasis, Independence & Serenade, I was eagerly looking forward to this sailing & didn't mind paying extra for it, hoping for a memorable experience. Check in process & the cruise terminal are all good & efficient. Once on board, we moved up to ...
Went on board Mariner of the Sea from 19-22 December 2014. First impression of the ship was great, as it docked majestically at Marina Harbour in Singapore. Check-in was great and efficient, as different deck was allocated a specific time slot for check-in. There were some welcome drinks and cookies prior to boarding and great photographer with a very enthusiastic attitude, providing a rather ...
Just disembarked from the cruise - cruise was okay, not as fantastic as I have imagined though.
Breakfast at windjammer is horrible - over crowded and food sucks but dinner at main dining is superb - fine dining concept and food is yummy. One thing is, if your are with big group or family, there will not be any problem with seating arrangements but if you are traveling in 2s, they will either put ...
This is our 2nd time to go on a cruise, our 1st time with Royal Caribbean. Compared with that of the Carnival Cruise, Mariner of the Seas was a lot bigger than that of the Carnival Sensation on our first cruise to Bahamas.
Accommodation & service was excellent. Check in / embarkation was a breeze, systematic & efficient.
Except on the check out day, all our breakfast was through Room Service. ...
