We flew to Singapore as a family of 3 and spent 3 nights at Peninsula excelsior hotel. Had full 3 days of touring Singapore before embarking cruise on 22nd October. Security, check-in and immigration at Singapore cruise terminal was a chaos. As there were 2 Royal Caribbean ships due to leave that day, it seemed the whole cruise terminal was flooded with people not knowing where to go with no ...
Didn't rush to the port in Singapore as it said as i was on deck seven i couldn't book in till 1.30 so we arrived around that time and found a queue a mile long another ship was loading at the same time and embarkation was a joke we didn't get on ship till around 4 went from queue to queue sent upstairs ??? don't know why we where boarding downstairs given a color after queuing the we where meant ...
I paid a significant amount of money to have the Royal Suite so I could give my mother and father a real treat on the cruise. The Royal Suite experience was billed as a 5 star experience which I stupidly as it turned out interpreted to mean the equivalent of a 5 star hotel experience.
To start the trip we flew Emirates Business Class from Brisbane to Singapore at a cost of some many thousand ...
Pros: The ship is beautifully decorated. The art work throughout was truly enjoyable. Kudos to my cabin steward. He was great, however, I expected nothing less. (Stateroom # 7296.)
Cons: The airport pickup person was given the wrong airlines but correct flight number. Consequently, he was waiting for my wife and I at the wrong baggage claim area. After waiting for him for 30 minutes, WE ...
Our first RC cruise and we loved it. Overall we had great services from our Room Steward to our wait staff at the MDR and the Bar Tender at WJ. Cabin felt smaller compared to our other cruises but was ok and cosy.
The Ice Skating show, Tempei (juggler/magician), RC Band were fantastic. The cruise was fully booked but we had no issue getting pool deck chairs whenever we used the pool or hot ...
We were really looking forward to this cruise having cruised with RCI in the past and had a wonderful holiday. Stayed in Novotel in Beijing for 3 days prior to cruise which was very good. Ship was spotlessly clean and crew members, as always, were very friendly and efficient, especially our cabin steward who was lovely and worked tirelessly. Usual daytime activities, quizzes, poolside games ...
We were really looking forward to this cruise but from day one what a disappointment and poor value for money
The food from day one was up impressive lacked flavouring and seasoning focus was on a taste of Asia we wouldn't have minded but the poor quality on two occasions there was hair
In the food and in a desert a large ribbon like piece of plastic
On 2 sea days they served a BBQ up by ...
We joined the Mariner of the Seas in Taijing and the queues were awful, there was no organisation or control, it was complete and utter chaos. There was rumours that half of its staff had walked out on RCC including Senior Management. My case with all my medicnes had been confiscated by RCC because it had 2 bottles of "contraband" which caused great distress but was released after one god almighty ...
The cruise started off with a long wait to get on the ship, but we barely had to line up for anything else afterwards, although a lot of older guests seemed to complain about lines to us. We only had to wait at Guest Services for about 10 minutes the entire time of the cruise and even less for our shore excursion. I guess you just have to pick the right time of day to go.
This ship has been ...
Please think very carefully before booking this cruise. This was our first ever cruise and all I can say is so very disappointed. As a part of our cruise we were given a tour before embarking the cruise to the forbidden city, and the Great Wall of china. Yes fantastic experience seeing these places but being given the hard sell at a jade factory we were taken to then on route back to the hotel we ...
