We enjoyed exploring Boston before cruising down to Bermuda. Let me start with saying that we had a very poor experience for a cruise that was fairly expensive. The embarkation and disembarkation was very slow and poorly organized. The ship had a very strong smell of cigarettes within a floor or two of the Cigar bar. Along with that, the upper deck almost always smelled like smoke when by the pool ...
We took the cruise on the Dawn out of Boston because of the ease of getting to the port and because of the price of the cruise. There were several sales and we felt like it was a good deal for the vacation. The old saying "you get what you pay for" rings true here. We thought that even though the ship had been refurbished, it still had an odd lay out and was cramped.
Dinner- Having a ...
I've taken several cruises on different cruise lines. My friend and I did a girls get away to Bermuda from Boston on the Dawn. ( 3 whole days in Bermudas port) I've done the bigger ships and different cruise lines, but I like the Dawn the best. If you want to have a good time but still find time to relax, this is your cruise. The Dawn is just the right size, not too much walking but still enough ...
Oma and Papa treated grandson, age 6 and his sister, age 3; other grandson, age 3 and his sister 14 months AND their parents to this cruise. The two families had an inside cabin across the hall from our mini suite where all hung out on the balcony. Our son and daughter are veteran cruisers and we are NCL platinum.
In preparation for this cruise, I bought the families clip magnets to hang ...
I went on the Norwegian Dawn with my entire extended family for a celebration of my great aunt’s 80th birthday. All together we had a group of 19 people in 9 separate stateroom ages ranging from 80 to 1.5 years old. Nearly all of the group had been on Norwegian’s Boston to Bermuda cruise at least once prior, many of us more than that. We all unanimously agreed that the standards on the ship have ...
We chose this cruise for convenience being from the Greater Boston area. We are a retired couple in our mid 60's enjoying retirement while we can. This was our 6th trip to Bermuda via cruise ship - 2nd time on the Dawn and previously on the Spirit and Majesty. We were traveling with a local band who would be playing on board as well.
Embarkation went well - we had an assisgned arrival time ...
My Band, The Reminisants played on this cruise. We've done 15 Bermuda Cruises.
From Day 1 to Day 8 it was by far the best for us, our families and our friends.
Norwegian has stepped up their game, Service and food wise.
The Dawn is clean, well organized and fun.
In the past Norwegian had ESPN on TV. They have one sports channel but with both NBA and NHL finals going on and baseball ...
1st time on a cruise was an overall positive experience. The staff on the Norwegian Dawn was terrific! Everyone was helpful, friendly and incredibly hard working.
We got a mini suite with a balcony. The room was comfortable and it was so nice to be able to open the balcony door, sit outside and enjoy the view. We came back every night to a tidy room with a new "towel animal" to surprise us ...
I chose this cruise so that I could spend a couple days in one place. Bermuda is neat, but I think I would have preferred going to multiple locations. Being a first time cruiser I did not know what to expect or what I wanted out of a cruise.
The cabin next to us was filled with screaming children and arguing parents. The children would scream at each other for no apparent reason but "having ...
I live in the Boston area so a cruise out of Boston and/or terminating in Boston is a plus (minimizing air travel is always a plus). Embarking/disembarking was typical for an ocean going cruise as was the cabin and most other amenities (I'm a six time cruiser, "typical" means quite good and no complaints). Dining was free style so no reserved table in the evening and a different wait staff each ...
