Just back from Christmas on the Norwegian Dawn. We are a family of 8 ranging in age from 9 to 59 years. Everyone had the time of their lives. The Dawn is a lovely ship with the most friendly and accommodating staff. Food was out of this world. We did not have one meal that we didn’t enjoy. We dined in a variety of locations on the ship including one Specialty Restaurant. Not having to adhere to ...
Honestly I would say it was the ship that was the bad part, because the staff was great and the drink package was amazing, but the food was pretty terrible.
Some of the free restaurants were alright (the main dinning room and aqua) but the pub was very bad. The hot tubs were always full and kind of gross. Never saw them clean anything except the food tables. Met a lot of amazing people on this ...
We booked B2B over Christmas and New Year's on Dawn out of San Juan because of the itinerary and we had never sailed from San Juan. Most things I found in my pre-cruise research indicated that the recent refresh of Dawn made it more modern and user friendly. Let me just say that the public spaces and restaurants are very nice and updated. The rooms on the other hand are still showing their age. ...
We chose this ship because of all the ports it visited. Our cabin was #10370, a balcony cabin right off the back of the ship. The bathroom and the balcony were both fairly large. Our cabin steward, Edna, was exceptional. We loved dining at the specialty restaurants. We really enjoyed Le Bistro, La Cucina, Cagney's, Moderno, Aqua, and Teppanyaki. The food was excellent and the service at all ...
Wife and I are NCL Platinum Plus, and this was our 4th time on the Dawn. We were not enthused about our prior cruises on the Dawn, but we took it again because of the (Southern Caribbean) itinerary. Many years ago we took our 2 kids on a Carnival cruise and it ranks as the worst cruise; this last cruise is now second-worst.
We don't expect gourmet food, but frankly the dinners were bad. At ...
Me, my husband and two daughters (age 19 and 20) cruised over the Christmas holiday with a group of friends. All together, we were 18 in our group. We selected the Norwegian Dawn because of the ports of call. In summary, this cruise featured:
* Friendly staff who remembered my name and greeted me with a smile
* Clean rooms and common areas
* Lots of entertainment options
* Easy on/off ...
We have been wanting to cruise out of San Juan and finally had the chance. We stayed in Old San Juan for two nights prior and enjoyed it with all the great food and so many things to do. What a nice walking town! Embark and disembark was easy. We had a balcony on deck 9. Good space for our things and quiet area of the ship. The only negative was the last day of the cruise we woke up to the bad ...
The ship was really decorated well for the Christmas Holidays. It was exceptionally well kept. The staff did their best in regards to making our stay memorable. Lots of restaurants & cafes to eat. There have been renovations on the ship and it looks very modern.
The cabin steward was amazing! Didn't have to ask for anything to be done. The layout of the cabin well done.
The ...
Because we want to celebrate 15th birthday and was my first time in a cruise. I recommend it in the future. Costumer service was great, shore excursions organization was excellent, activities was incredible and the cabins were more than the expected. Food areas were clean and specialty restaurants tepanyaky, moderno and lacuccina were awesome. I went ti Tortola virgin Gorda baths and was ...
Friends and family suggested we experience NCL.We chose a cruise out of San Juan to the Southern Caribbean. (Airfare was extremely pricey.) Everything went smoothly both embarking and disembarking.
We enjoyed Karaoke each evening and a couple of dance competitions. Elements was a good finish to the week. The Irish bar was a daily stop and we thoroughly enjoyed the bartenders. All other servers ...
