Ok, Not Great

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Conquest

I've sailed on the Sensation twice, the Valor, the Glory, and the Pride. I've also sailed with Princess, Celebrity, and Norwegian. I must say that while a cruise vacation is still one of my favorite ways to unwind, this one had its share of disappointments. Embarkation was terrible, with a two hour line that filled the port building and wound around the outside. The food lines were long, the ...

Port Everglades is convenient from home and has convenenient parking. I have been on Conquest before and like the size, layout and atmosphere on the ship. One big plus is the "adult only" pool & hottubs . The staff on the Conquest are the best! I also enjoy playing the slots and the casino hosts and casino staff always make players feel welcome and keep the atmosphere upbeat & exciting. ...

I knew my vacation on the Carnival Conquest was going to be great the moment I boarded the ship in Ft. Lauderdale on May 14, 2016. I'm going on an Eastern Caribbean vacation (with ports of call in beautiful Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Kitts and St. Maarten) with my family. I don't have to cook meals, make my bed, or do much of anything, right? Absolutely. My review is pretty long but I think it ...

embarkation, was delayed a few hrs, disembarkation was very quick. The port was not crowded and easy to park and curbside drop off smooth.Ship was kept neat, but is dirty as in deep stains on seats in lido restaurant, outside windows very dirty so taking photos through windows weren't going to happen. There was a sewer type odors in some hallways. Our interior cabin was spacious and staff always there ...

This was the 2nd Carnival cruise I have been on...and enjoyed it overall. My cabin was fine..with comfy beds and plenty of wardrobe space etc.Towels were changed each day ..and no complaints regarding cabin service . The food was acceptable..but,in my opinion, was not up to the standard of the Miracle last year. ...although the food served in the dining room seemed better than the buffets . Night ...

We chose the cruise because family was going on it. They all backed out, but my fiancé and I had a blast. We really enjoyed having early dining, the shows and the onboard activities. I was selected as one of the contestants on the game show, which was fun. The ports were all fun, in spite the naysayers who said Jamaica was a bad port. We took the party cruise to the falls and had a blast. In Grand ...

We are Gold with Carnival, and have cruised with Princess, Royal, and Celebrity. Took this cruise to see Aruba, ect, but this may be our last Carnival cruise if the Conquest is an example of what future Carnival cruises will be like. The formal dining and food was deplorable! You are on vacation and paid to receive a pleasant experience not a level of service that I would rate below that of going ...

Let's start with my stay down in Fort Lauderdale the night before the trip. I traveled with 4 other friends, all in our 30's. We wanted to keep the cost of a hotel room economical, so we decided to try the Red Carpet Inn. I had read reviews and it seemed like it would be an OK place to stay for just the night. Well it was more than okay! The room was $100 with tax, so break it down to $20.00 ...

We chose this cruise for the timing (to coincide with our anniversary) and for the ports - we have wanted to visit Curacao and Aruba for some time. Overall it was a great cruise that I would repeat anytime! We drove to Ft. Lauderdale the day before departure and stayed at a nearby hotel. The next morning we drove to a Park and Go lot on Eller Drive - got a great rate on parking by paying in ...

My husband and I chose this cruise for his birthday. We were not sure what to expect in La Romana. Fortunately, we chose a quiet excursion to Catalina Island Beach. What a wonderful, relaxing day. The beach is beautiful!!! We did not want to leave. We also took the Ultimate Snorkeling in the Grand Turks. Captain Dan and crew were great! The water was beautiful and crystal clear. Curacao ...
