We had a 8 days of Fantastic vacation. The ship is no different than Carnival Glory. It is 98% match. Only difference is food and entertainment shows. The head Chef Vithal did an amazing job especially if you are looking for Indian food option. The Indian food options are much much better than any other restaurants in North America (except if you are comparing with Jonoon). We tried on day 1 and ...
well...started of the adventure with our luggage not reaching us....thru Southwest, but they did a good job in making it right. but wife had a carry-on with some workout clothes...and i had one extra pair of shorts and t-shirt. the the ship's shops and port shops dont have much in everyday wear (including underwear !! ). so the first couple of days were at sea, so started to get pretty ripe!!! ...
This was my first cruise with carnival and I choose the conquest because of the itinerary. Also my roommate first time on carnival and didn't like it, preferred the previous ship NCL. Met a bunch saying they preferred other carnival ship, but never saying conquest.
Embarkment and disembarkment went fine for me. I flew in day before. I made sure I didn't have to rush. Nice to have airport ...
December 4th thru the 10th to Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and Nassau.
Flew in from Baltimore the morning of departure. I was in a foul mood for reasons totally unrelated to Carnival, and it got worse when I arrived at the cruise terminal. Outside was completely disorganized---come on Carnival, spend a few bucks for signs to guide people!!!! Inside the terminal the lines were unbelievably long and ...
First, please note that we are not picky, and understand that sometimes things don't go as expected and that mistakes happen. Secondly, we are seasoned cruisers, with 10 cruises sailed on Carnival ships to Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Europe.
We boarded the Conquest for an 8 night cruise to Dominican, Bonaire, and Aruba. The problems started at the muster drill. There was an intoxicated ...
In November, I was asked by a friend if I would be willing to join her on an already booked cruise that she and her husband were supposed to take...and he was unable to join her at the last minute. I cleared my calendar, and planned for my worst fear - to spend any nights in an inside cabin! I have only ever cruised in a balcony stateroom, as I have "issues" - claustrophobia comes easy!
I ...
We had just gotten off the Magic in May of 2016 when the post-vacation blues began to set in. We knew that we didn't have another cruise until the spring of 2017 and decided we needed something before then. After checking through several itineraries, we picked the Southern Caribbean as our next destination and settled on November. I had read the reviews of the Conquest and felt leery about booking ...
We chose this cruise for the ports of call. And although we did not go into Santo Domingo, they substituted LaRomana which we had not visited before and that was fine.
The disappointment on this cruise was the obvious "take-away" items. The one in particular that got me was no table cloth in the dining room except on formal night. The first night I chased my bread plate all over the table, ...
Embarkation and disembarkation was herendius, the lines were very, very long. I had multiple rooms , we were at the back of the ship which is very rocky especially at nights. The cabins seems to gotten much smaller. There was no room to move around in the room. Dinner was almost the same every night in the dinning room. The best thing about it was the servers, there were very nice. ...
I sailed on the Carnival Conquest from Nov. 26th - Dec. 4th because of the excellent ports of call. The itinerary was Amber Cove, DR; Santo Domingo, DR; Bonaire; and Aruba. The itinerary is one of the most important reasons why I booked this cruise. This was my 15th cruise overall and the 8th time sailing on Carnival. I would say that I am a loyal customer and loved Carnival Cruise Lines up ...
