Our go-to beach at Nassau. About a mile walk from the pier.

Not what I expect from Celebrity

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

Overall we had a great time, but we were disappointed with Celebrity. We cruise an average of once a year, but haven't been on on Celebrity for several years. We tend to choose a cruise based on itinerary more than the line or ship. The itinerary for this cruise was awesome and it was still a fabulous vacation. But overall the service level and food were not what we have come to expect from the ...

My wife and I were on the Christmas cruise to the southern Caribbean. The itinerary was great and we had a very good time. I cruised with Celebrity 3 times before but not since 10 years ago. Pluses - many. Very nice cabin attendant and very friendly crew in general, entertainment was ok / good (not too important for us) although we liked the second comedian (Carl Banks) a lot. Food was very ...

Over salted food, expensive drinks and lack of entertainment

Primarily decided upon this cruise due to the itinerary as it stopped at 5 different Caribbean Islands that both myself and sister wanted to go to; Barbados, St Lucia, St Marteen, St Kitts and St Thomas. Acceptable points: 1. Larger cabins that Royal Caribbean cruise ships 2. Nice and friendly cabin boy 3. Best place on the ship - outdoor cinema (except during the rain of course) ...

Celebrity Summit disappointment, Eastern Caribbean/San Juan delight

This is my 4th cruise, my 4th with Celebrity, the 2nd one at Christmas and, for the first time, I was disappointed. The room was shabby - see below - and the dining room food was just about ok, although the service was great - even if a bit too obviously chasing good ratings at the end of it! The buffet had little variety during the day and became very repetitive. Lots of - lovely - Indian ...

Summit is looking her age

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

Although they say they gave Summit an update in March 2016, I certainly didn't see it and was disappointed how aged and shabby it is looking. I have sailed other Celebrity vessels and must say Summit was the poorest I have been on. Staff seemed worn and tired, crew had very little engagement, service was 4/5 for the most part, food was 3.5/5, and entertainment was 4/5. BUT for a Christmas ...

A real disappointment that has put us right off cruising.

We had heard positive reports of the Celebrity cruises and we wanted to go to the Caribbean for Christmas so when we saw this cruise advertised through Planet Cruises we decided to book. The positives: Nice, roomy cabin, very clean. Good service from cabin staff. Good choice of food in both restaurants although not always piping hot in the buffet restaurant Lovely pools and plenty ...

Excellent Christmas cruise with extended family of 13 including 5 children

Our family was celebrating our parent's 50th anniversary and the task of finding the right cruise was pretty much up to me. We travelled as a couple in their 70's, two couples in their 40's, single mom in her 40's, young adult of 23, and 5 children ranging from 9 through 15. I needed a boat that wasn't too big as my parents are super mobile, something with enough activities to keep everyone ...

Amazing 5-star experience on Celebrity Summit over the holidays

I have been very fortunate to travel all over the world via 5-star resorts and great cruise lines. This was my husband and my first Celebrity experience. I read the reviews from cruise critic and was somewhat Leary about our trip. We traveled over the holidays. My mom and her friend traveled with us as well, they were in an outside cabin. All I can tell you is our experience was amazing and ...

Very Good. Port Times May Improve

The cruise was overall very good. Arrived at pier at 4 pm to avoid crowds. Embarking was prety fast. Requested and was able to use Self-Assist debarking, leaving ship at 7 am with suitcases on hand. Port times could be longer. This limited your activities and 8:15-4:30 port days are not long enough to fully enjoy the ports. We had to stay close or limit what we were doing ashore in order ...

This was our 7th Celebrity cruise, first time aboard the Summit. It is a nice enough ship but definitely showing signs of wear and tear, in the form of cracked tile in the bathroom, mildewed shower curtain, stained sheets and frayed towels. We definitely prefer the S class ships, and would sail on the Summit again only if there was a special or unique itinerary we couldn't get on another ship. ...
