Not like the old days

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

I sailed Celebrity 3 times 15 to 20 years ago. They were a notch above the others then. Not now. They are as good as any but have lost their advantage. I can say the food was great as was the staff. The bands were good but not enough of them. Acoustic singles and duos are not my cup of tea. The main theatre shows were a notch below the competition. Embarkation and disembarkation were rough and ...

80s Cruise

First things first! 80s Cruise was spectacular. An entire week of great music, great people and great times! Definitely look into it if you’re looking for something special! The boat was great. Captain Alex was hysterical and so friendly, he did a stand up skit that would rival any comedian. The members of the crew were fantastic and a bit overwhelmed at times, the 80s cruise crowd were all about ...

Mostly excellent, opportunities for improvement

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

I will start by saying Captain Alex is running a tight ship. He has a crew with high morale that go above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our vacation was excellent and went smoothly. From embarkation to debarkation, everything worked like clock work and there was never a worry or concern. The food was spot on in the dining room and the buffet. Our server Xiomara was a cut above ...

Left FL on Feb 18 for a 9 day cruise...a fill in between charters. Loved the ship...perfect size to get to know fellow passengers and staff. The friendliest staff encountered in our 35 days of Celebrity cruising. Dining staff excellent...Cafe de Bachio also. Definitely intend to sail on Summit again......probably from San Juan her home port....which is an excellent place to spend a few days ...

We had an absolutely perfect cruise on the Summit. Our room was great, lots of storage room and a big balcony. We were in Concierge Class in room 8084 and it was wonderful. Our room Steward Belvin was a treat. He was seemingly always around with a smile on his face. He met out requests quickly and professionally. The food on board was excellent. From the MDR to the buffet to all the ...

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

My husband and I recently returned from our first-ever cruise. Our travel agent set up all of the details and suggested the Summit as a good first cruise experience due to the size of the ship, the package offerings and the fact that we preferred to cruise on a ship with more adults & fewer kids. All in all, we had a great time! We went Concierge Class and the attention to detail in our ...

Second time on Summit

We selected this cruise as a short get away for a group of adults. Close proximity to port; size of ship and based on prior experience on Summit. We enjoyed the Summit when we cruised on her in 2015. Now, she is in need of some TLC: painting; rug replacement; elevator repairs. Embarkation: Easy, speedy and cabins were ready before 1:00pm! Dining in the main dining room was great! We had ...

As an Elite member of the Captains Club have cruised several tmes with celebrity. I was 50 at xmas and my partners birthday is on 24th Feb, so we decided to push the boat out and treat ourselves to Aqua Class rather than balcony. So booked stateroom 9095. As most people do rsearched the extra amenities we should expect for the 'aqua class experience'. Embarkation day did not start so well as ...

This is a review more so of Entertainment Cruise Productions who chartered Celebrity Summit for a jazz cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. It was the inaugural sailing of Blue Note At Sea - a famed jazz recording label responsible for launching jazz legends such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Van Morrison, Nora Jones and so many more.
