Great Cruise with a Few Hiccups

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We chose this cruise to see an area of the country we had not visited before and to hopefully see the fall leaves change. The original ports were changed but it still ended up an interesting itinerary. The overnight in Quebec was great as we were able to get a good taste of that city. We did a few excursions which I have to say were overpriced for the most part as investigation after the fact ...

This was the third time that I've taken the Canada/New England cruise (once on Constellation, twice on Summit). Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise: Captain Alex was superb with his informational/inspirational banter each day and his accessibility; all staff were excellent (guest relations, cabin steward, main dining room, Elite hostess/lounge servers, cruise director and activities manager. Food in ...

Don't spend the extra money on Aqua Class

I chose this cruise for the itinerary, New England and Canada, which I enjoyed. I also chose Aqua Class on recommendations from friends who enjoyed the Blu restaurant and the Spa. Well the balcony cabins are exactly the same as any other balcony cabin and they are located just under the pool and Lido deck which became very noisy at times. The Blu restaurant was nothing special. I actually ...

We have cruised a few times always choose Celebrity. They simply know how to do get it right. The officers and staff were amazing and Captain Alex was a treat. He was very accessible and approachable throughout the cruise. His quotes of the day were awesome and very upbeat. The team we had serving us dinner was outstanding in all respects. A big shout out to Jayson, Tirta and Mary Grace who ...

Route: 14 day voyage: Newark - Boston – Sydney, NS – Quebec City – Halifax, NS – Portland, ME – Bar Harbor, ME - Newark 1. General Comments: We are regular cruisers, and the focus of this cruise was – hopefully – the fall colors. Unfortunately, we were about 10 days too early for any massive display. There were, though, plenty of patches of color in the forests. We were disappointed ...

We flew from OKC to Newark one day early and spent the night at the Renaissance at the airport. We used Uber for the first time for transport to the cruise terminal ...cost approx. $18....picked us up after only a 4 min. wait. We had never been to Quebec City and had heard wonderful comments from people who visited. We were ...

Canada & New England with a Missed Port

Picked this cruise because I had never been to Quebec City or Saganay. Missed Saganay because of Wright Wales & speed restrictions. Really pissed about that & we were not even given any sort of perk because of it. Port of Sydney has nothing going for it & it poured all day (had been there before & done the only thing really interesting). Overall the service on the cruise was very good, the ...

Okay, the Summit is getting on in age and in places shows it but Celebrity has done a fine job of maintenance and upkeep. Overall, the staff and Captain Alex made us feel part of the family. Olga, the Captains Club representative was alway front and center if you needed anything. Captain Alex kept us in stitches with his daily humor and words of wisdom at 1000 am sharply. Qsine is a dining ...

This was my first cruise and I was impressed with Celebrity. we wanted this to be as "all inclusive" as possible and tried to plan every detail. Once we got settled into our cabin, I went to the concierge to find out what options I had and was told to "check with the dining room" and make my own reservations. Later, I asked about getting signed up for computer classes and the cocierge told ...

Always Cough Afterward

We chose this cruise to see New England and we enjoyed the ports very much. Captain Alex is a joy. Every day he gave a Quote of the Day and other charming comments.... WAY TO GO, Captain Alex! Cabin is tiny in the least expensive category but seemed very clean. I now always seem to cough for WEEKS, after cruising. Don't know if germs are spread in the air conditioning. If it is, better ...
