Great service from staff and many systemic hiccups

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

only reason we chose this cruise is to piggyback on friends' trip. Overall the trip was good, but could have been much better if systemic details were handled better. The ship was clean, the cabin and food staffs were excellent and attentive. The itinerary covered lovely cities and countryside and for the most part we had great weather. What could be improved? The cabin (veranda) was on the ...

This was our second time doing this itinerary and our third time on the Summit. We love the ship, the ports, and the wonderful crew We enjoyed the food in the MDR and the Oceanview Cafe. Coffee was awful to just passable. Entertainment was a mixed bag, ranging from fabulous to just ok. Did not like the production shows. Very much enjoyed Jim Kennedy's presentations. Ranger John was interesting. ...

Pros and Cons of our New England/Canadian Cruise

STATEROOM ~ First of all, our room ~ # 7080 with balcony ~ was conveniently located near the midship elevators but with no accompanying noise from them. Our balcony was unusual in that it was twice as large as most and in a triangular shape. It could have accommodated 2 reclining chaise lounges but it just had the usual 2 chairs and small round table. Our room was quiet which we like as we are ...

Great ship, great ports

We've always wanted to do the New England/Canada cruise. We've done two 7 days cruises before and thought the 14 day cruise would be a great experience. We almost missed the cruise because our plane was delayed out of Nashville and we missed our connection in Charlotte, but we arrived two hours before the ship sailed. Embarkation could not have been better, because everyone else was on the ...

Great time for Fall colors

The price was right, as were the Itinerary and time of year of the cruise. We were very pleased with the cruise experience and the ports of call. This was our first cruise on Celebrity (have been on Azamara twice). We found the service on Celebrity to be outstanding. We are used to more inclusive cruises so the only drawback was being bugged for photos and a couple other things. Our room was a bit ...

Overview: After over 20 cruises, we congratulate Celebrity staff and crew on continuing to provide quality service. Perfect weather in most towns en route and amazing fall foliage colors helped us enjoy six fascinating ports in New England and Canada. Embarkation: Newark is a 3 hour flight from our home town. We flew up the night before. Embassy Suites provided a free shuttle from the ...

One of the smaller of the large ships. Great itinerary. Excellent staff--but standards are slipping. Food not as good as on Silhouette in its maiden year; service a bit less impressive. Even though there were fewer passengers and the ship is smaller, there often were occasions when facilities were inadequate to handle the crowds--at Oceanview Restaurant for breakfast and lunch for example and ...

We were interested in the itinerary for this cruise and the timing was right for us. We hadn't been to Canada or Nova Scotia previously. We were interested in cruising this time of year to see the fall leaf colors. The ports were great and the excursions were exceptional. We were very fortunate to meet 3 couples at dinner who we enjoyed immensely. Our waiter and assistant waiter at Table 207, ...

A Very Enjoyable Cruise

All in All, this was a wonderful cruise. We met some very nice people. We liked the size of the ship, the veranda cabin, and the staff. Everyone was very polite and helpful especially in the dining room. We took excursions at nearly every port and enjoyed them all. We did not take an excursion in Sydney and I'm glad we didn't. I walked around and there wasn't much to see on Sydney. There was ...
