Was interested in the ports-had heard croatia was beautiful-didn't disappoint. Greece (Athens) was disappointing as there were 5 cruise ships in port at same time-appt 15,000 cruisers plus local visitors all trying to see the acropolis at same time-didn't happen with fear of not getting back to boat in time. Do NOT do the On/Off bus tour as you don't have time to get off at the stops and make it ...
Overall I thought this was a great cruise. I picked it for the itinerary and the cost, and was very happy with the choice. This was my 4th cruise; others who cruise more often say this is a smaller ship but I loved it. It had a small town feel, where you run into other people you've met throughout the cruise, yet there was still plenty to do. I enjoyed the casino and really liked most of the ...
GOOD PARTS: Crew staff attentive and quick to serve: English above average: Clean rooms : Pool police worked hard to keep order in pool area which provided a good experience. Drink wait at bars: very good. Rooms were nice enough and very quiet.
FAIR PARTS: Public Announcement system: Useless: They need to fix this or add some digital boards to read. Buffet average at best: Same food stuff ...
We chose the Norwegian Star out of Venice because a cruise vacation fits our familiy's needs and to see cities and ports of call that we have never visited before. We have not cruised in eleven years and wanted to experience developments in the industry.
The Star is a midsized ship, 2,600 passengers, and that was plenty to achieve extraordinary diversity as to age and ethnicity. We heard ...
I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the reviews were better than the other options. I am happy for my choice. The cabin was just perfect for us. The food was fabulous. I would suggest more variety and daily changes to the breakfast buffet but it was sufficient. Excellent drinks and wings at O'Shaheens. Mojitos were great at the Mojito bar. Yum! The white hot party was surreal ...
People need to know that the ship is amazing and it is filled with staff that truly cares about the members of the cruise. The ship is very nice and clean. When you walk in to restaurants or just boarding the ship, they spray your hands with hand cleanser. The cabins are very nice. They are cleaned both in the morning and in the afternoon. The towels are replaced, the beds are cleaner, and ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to return to do Greek isles cruise after sailing on one two years ago on the jade. I knew we would not beat the time we had on the jade as everything had been so good .this cruise had two new ports for us Dubrovnik and Montenegro . We were in an inside cabin on deck 10 which was extremely noisy it sounded like trolleys being wheeled across the floor at all hours ...
Departure location and date and fares plus free internet enticed us.
But with just a couple staff exceptions, this cruise company was poor to mediocre in every respect.
You know the food is bad when you don’t look forward to meals on a cruise.
(finally found one exception for dinner)
You know the entertainment is weak when you forgo the evening’s offering.
The staff seemed poorly ...
We've always wanted to visit the Greek Isles and Croatia, so when this cruise came up, we splurged. We thought NCL would be a little higher class and we'd get all we hoped for. We got two penthouse suites, one for me and my husband, the other for my mother and two adult children (23 and 26) and went all out! It was expensive, but once in a life time, right? We spent three days in Venice before ...
I’m writing this to pre-warn any passengers in the immediate future who may get cabins 10618 through 10612. We have suffered a week of badly interrupted sleep due to some short of night time mechanical failure above our cabin (10616). This lasted from several minutes to several hours every night, and was so loud as to interrupt sleep. Our neighbours suffered similar. We’ve disembarked exhausted. ...
