Leading up to our cruise on the Pride October 11th, I read everything I could find about this ship on the Cruise Critic boards. I thought I would post a short review in hopes that I can help future passengers. This was our 13th cruise (wife and myself), on various cruise lines. We sailed on the Carnival Miracle three years ago, which is the sister ship to the Pride and basically the same ...
Me and my family cruise out of baltimore on the Pride for 7days. for the first time I was given a time to get to the ship 2:30-3:30 so I missed out on the welcome aboard picture and I got stuck in traffic because of a big accident so i was afraid that we would miss the ship. My plans were to get to the ship early that day but I got a email saying don't come until 2:30 or I would have to wait and ...
This was our first cruise on the Pride since since Guys Burgers, Blueiguana Cantina and Bonsai Sushi were added. The Pride was a fun ship before these and other changes but is even better now. The food was the best its ever been. The crew was excellent and took great care of us. This was our 14th cruise, so we were used to lines. We experienced fewer and shorter line than any other cruise. ...
First think I want to say the Crew did a great job keeping us safe from the Hurricane.
We were suppose to go to Grand Turk, Half moon Key, and Freeport. We made it to Grand Turk, but could not stay due to weather. Everything was cancelled and we left. We then sailed around for 5 days. All ports cancelled. I understand and agree with this, safety first.
My complaint is the lack of things to ...
This cruise was the first cruise with my daughters. They are 3 years and 1 year old.
Arrival/embarkation: We drove from home which was about a 4 hour drive. Not too bad and certainly better than flying such a short distance. We left home with plenty of time and at that point my only worry was traffic from the Raven's home football game that day. As we got closer, it was already after ...
Thanks to our captain for good decisions and keeping us safe. Thanks to the crew for keeping us safe and as happy as possible. Thanks to the staff and entertainment for doing all they could to counter a hurricane and what became a real trip to nowhere. Entertainment was exceptional, even without the ability to showcase all the bells and whistles that the stage was capable of.....hard to counter ...
This was our 4th time on the Pride, so we are familiar with the ship. We were a total of nine family and friends, and had a great time, even though we only had about an hour of port time due to dodging hurricane Joaquin. We went really early, since we were driving and about 4 hours away, and weren't sure if we would have traffic from a home football game. We didn't have the traffic, but had to ...
We were unfortunate enough to be on the Carnival Pride during a hurricane. I know Carnival has no control over the weather but they do have control over how they treat their guests while on board and after. We were only able to get off the cruise for a few hours in Grand Turk and the other 2 ports were cancelled. They did not have many activities for the guests stuck on the boat other than ...
Disclaimer: this was a free cruise that we received from my ladies cousin.
Review: Overall the trip was a bust ,but this wasn't the fault of the crew or the cruise line. Guests with medical issues and of course a Cat. 5 storm that kept us on the ship for 6 straight days. Things of note:
-the crew: each and every person was helpful and friendly, and could not do enough for us. Bravo!
-the ...
Our party consisted of our son and new wife for their honeymoon, along with my husband and myself who are cruisers (23 for me and 18 for DH); it was our son's third cruise and his wife's second (first on Carnival for both of them). Cabin was Balcony 8215 located below the Lido Deck, One could hear rolling carts across the floor in the Mermaid's Grille above us from time to time since parts of it ...
