I wanted to do this cruise to see how I would go on a longer cruise with my special needs friend, it was fantastic, she is tube fed so the food was not important to her. Firstly our embarkation went smoothly and everyone was very efficient, and understanding of Hayley's special needs. Our cabin was a disabled one and I must say I was very impressed, we had so much more room to move her ...

How I lost 3kg on a cruise

Wished to undertake the cruise with elderly mother. The cabin was in disrepair, headboard was detached, the curtains torn but otherwise clean. The couch in the room was stained and dirty. The same can be said of the chairs in the main dining room, ditto for the carpets. The food was very disappointing hence the weight loss - the same 3 fruits were available for breakfast the whole ...

We chose this cruise as it covered both Australia and New Zealand. We had booked 18 months ago.As the flights were so long from the UK we travelled business class so it was a costly holiday. We had travelled with RC three times and have been on over 30 cruises. Everything on the ship was shabby and dirty and looked in disrepair. The food was mediocre and badly cooked. We were amazed how much stock ...

Entertainment on board was fantastic; great Cruise Director.

The Radiance of the Seas is an older ship, that is looking a tad tired and in need of a facelift in saying that though we had the best entertainment on board the Cruise Director, Activites Manager and entertainment staff were one of the most enthusiastic group I have seen on a cruise ship. Plenty of activities during the day. The Captain was very engaging and came on the morning show with the ...

We elected to go back on Radiance as my daughter had extensive surgery this year and needed a break and what better break than on the high seas on our favourite ship. We always review to keep the RCL reviews current and to help provide tips on what to expect. Embarkation - Late, not RCL fault Norovirus outbreak. Crew were amazing as were check in staff, explained everything. Embarkation ...

This was our 8th cruise with various cruise lines so it is easy to compare. Firstly we received an email 2 days prior to our departure to say there had been gastroenteritis on the ship so our embarking had to be put back due to the extra cleaning required which is fair enough, but on arrival at the terminal there were so many people waiting we stood in line for approx. 1 1/2 hours, then to be ...

The boarding and disembarking process were very very good. The show Buenos Aries Tango was one of the best stage shows we have ever seen on any cruise ship. RCI make excellent use of the centrium area making it and added entertainment area. The first 3 days the staff served you in the buffet (Windjammers) was a bit annoying but necessary. The meals in the main restaurant were good and the service ...

Radiance of the Seas – Sydney to Hobart 24-31 October 2016 We enjoy doing short local cruises. Always something new to see and no passports or long flights to worry about. Embarkation – We received an email two days before departure “During Radiance of the Seas’ last sailing, a small number of guests onboard experienced gastrointestinal illness. In an abundance of caution, we are conducting ...

Friends had previously sailed on this ship, and encouraged us and another couple to sail this trip. Bathroom was far too small. Shower cubical suitable size for children under 10 years of age, not adults, especially those of us with medical conditions that restrict free movement.. Very difficult to control water temperature in shower. Cabin showed excessive wear and tear. Had extremely ...

Food -- not good at all, the buffet was not open enough hours, making it impossible to go to the early show without having to eat late at night, not enough other included other dining options (the hot dog stand was awful) Service -- our cabin attendant was very good, but most other workers seemed stressed, not really happy Entertainment -- wonderful big shows, although we didn't get the ...
