Our 15 days cruise started in Hong Kong; we made a tour along Vietnam (3 ports) and around Taiwan (3 ports) and then back to Hong Kong.
Celebrity Millenium is a very nice ship (°2002), but it's well maintained, and very stable. Even in heavier weather with 5m waves, the ship cuts clean through the waves. Oceanview cabins are agreable. Our room attendant gave a very nice service.
The captain ...
Reason for cruise was for pampering and relaxation after a difficult year.
Let me just say that I find it difficult to relate the complaints I have seen on cruise critic with the reality of my experience on the Millennium.
I found staff to be extremely helpful, kind, professional and going above and beyond what is required of them being either cabin attendant, wait staff and guest relations, ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to get away over the Christmas and New Year period. We had been to Taipei before, and wanted to see the other places on the Itinerary in Taiwan.
We have been on Millennium before, but felt that the food on the ship is not as good as previously. The staff and service were excellent. Embarkation and disembarkation were both smooth, similarly getting the tender ...
This was not a 14 day cruise it was a 13 day cruise spending the last day and night in Hong Kong harbour.Where we left from.
1 The shows were below standard
2 The food was poor with the exception of 3 meals, which were excellent
3 The stops were impossible to experience night life or night markets with exception of Hanoi which was a 7.5 hour return trip by taxi or bus, unless you spent the ...
We wanted and achieved a Xmas New Year experience on a ship with friends. A holiday which allowed my husband and friends time to enjoy each other’s company and meet new friends.
A holiday where we didn’t need to cook, clean or go to far for entertainment. The. places we visited were interesting and allowed several choices for a variety of tours.
The. Cabins were cleaned twice a day with ...
We were looking to do a nice Christmas cruise that took in Vietnam and Taiwan. We found Celebrity Millennium was well priced although an older ship. We noted that the ship had been refurbished and that the Aqua class cabins had been done at the same time. However the deck nine cabins were all listed as having restricted views we were also concerned because deck nine is immediately below the ...
Chose this as it was the best way for us to visit different parts of Asia. The ship was very tired and if we had known it was going to be so old, we would not have gone. This was the general opinion of everyone, especially those who had been on other Celebrity ships.
The service was very good especially in the Blu restaurant where we were. We had a fantastic cabin person who was always ...
We took this cruise as we wanted to away for Christmas and New Year, cannot understand the bad reviews, must be very unhappy people and miserable in their lives. We had a great time and especially on Sea Day, I was running from one to event to another. Ate most nights in the Main Dining, and sometimes for lunch and Breakfast rather than the buffet, you eat better and have less on your place rather ...
Our only other Celebrity cruise was 5 years ago to celebrate my husband’s 60th, so it seemed fitting to choose Celebrity again to celebrate his 65th!
Last time, we were in an inside cabin, but this time, we “pushed the boat out” (or perhaps “splashed out”?) and went for a concierge class cabin, 8099. The Millennium is quite a small ship by today’s standards, which made being midship very ...
Overall we enjoyed our cruise. We selected it based on the time it was running and the ports it visited. This cruise was round trip hong kong visiting 3 ports in Vietnam and 3 in Taiwan.
As others have mentioned the ship is a little tired in areas especially the cabins. We had an ocean view on level 2 mid ship. The furnishings desperately need replacing and the mattress and pillows were very ...
