Cruised on Navigator 3 times.
Last cruise was a 20 day Northern Europe through Norway and northern Russia this summer. Interesting itinerary. Many Norway ports, into theArtic Circle, Murmansk and Archangelsk in Russia. Then Shetland Islands, Edinburgh Scotland, Newcastle UK and finally Amsterdam
All Regent ships are a home away from home with white glove treatment. Caring and attentive ...
We put three cruises together starting in Dublin 7/18 and disembarking in Barcelona 9/1.
The positive was the crew and service was excellent for the most part.
The negative is extensive. The ship was not particularly stable with a good deal of pitching and rolling in calm to moderate seas. Vibrations at the stern were noticeable even on the 10th deck. Some people in cabins at the rear ...
We had wanted to try a Regent cruise for a long time and had actually booked one in 2011 but I ended up in the hospital and we had to cancel. So when we decided on a British Islands trip we decided that this was the one to fulfill that long postponed desire. We went with the concierge suite for the extra hotel day in Reykjavik which we did enjoy ( although the excursion we went on was longer ...
We are on a cruise from New York to Iceland and we picked the cruise for its destinations.
The ship is old and is poorly maintained; lots of rust, scuff marks, stained carpets, faded wood on the decks. The vibration in the cabins is constant and unbelievable like sleeping on top of a freight train.
The food is on par with Hometown buffet.Ar breakfast the hot foods were covered in grease. No fresh ...
I have taken 2 other Regent cruises they were perfect
Regent has to take a serious look at their WiFi offered for free. Most times it was either so slow or not available definitely not a good experience
The crew excellent the food especially the new Compass Rose menu was perfect
The complimentary laundry was another disappointment why not extend the hours?
The big negative was our ...
I wanted a daylight transit of the canal. That was great!
The ship skipped 2 ports... Nicaragua and Guatamala...no compensation for that.
I was disappointed that coming back to New York we passed the Statue of liberty at 4AM so I missed that and I was so much looking forward to it.
The officers were invisible. I saw the captain only once the whole trip.
Ray was a great cruise director. ...
This cruise was in 2018. Regent should just give up on this ship and ship out the cruise director too.
The staff on Navigator is simply outstanding. The food, overall, is terrific and the staff goes beyond and above each meal to bring a wonderful experience for everyone.
The ship is clunky and quickly reveals the origin as a Soviet vessel designed for either spying or ice-breaking. You can ...
Ports of call were good - not excellent! Why stop at locations that have nothing to offer? An example woud be Hilo, Hawaii.
The destination personnel were not well trained. Priority guests were not treated like priorities! In most situations - waitlist was an imaginary item.
Basically I would say the ship personnel were very friendly and dedicated employees. Upper management needs to ...
It was LA to LA, so very little flying from Las Vegas. The ship is small, but big enough, so as not to feel cramped. Our suite is always the correct size. The food is so much better than other cruise lines. We never seem to be rushed like other cruises on bigger ships with 2 dinning seating. This time the enrichment lectures were not as good as we have had before, they were only average. The ...
The Ship: The hull started life as a Russian satellite tracking ship. It's beginning to show its former self. There was a lot of rust and despite a refit a few years ago, it's looking old. A metal flashing came off a stair when I walked up an exterior stair. I moved it out of the way so no-one would trip over it and reported it to the crew. It was still there at the end of the cruise.
The ...
