First time on a Carnival cruise and maybe it was this ship in particular but I probably will not cruise on a Carnival ship again.
This ship needs a major makeover. The decor is 70's to 80's at best.
We have cruised on other ships and this was lacking in good entertainment, shopping and shows.
The food was average. We went to the dining room 1 night and I can only speak to what I ...
First cruise that i have ever been, but based on this experience i would never do it again.
The Good: the embarkation and debarkation was organized and smooth. The service was very good, everyone was very attentive but i felt they were understaffed.
There was not a lot of entertainment i found the comedy shows the only good thing on the boat.
The rooms were clean constantly and the beds ...
This is our third cruise with Carnival. I will say by far this was my favorite ship. We have sailed on the Carnival Dream and the Sunshine. The Sunshine was our least favorite. There were no seats to sit outside in the sun and it was practically impossible to walk on the outside decks because there were so many people laying in the sun!! The ship was way over crowded. The food was terrible on the ...
This ship is the worst ship i have been on in about 11 cruises. I booked 5 cabins for myself and family. This ship is older and the square feet of the balcony, and bath were much smaller than usual. I always book a junior suite, which was smaller by far than other ships. Suite had no bathtub or any counter at all in the bathroom (only a pedastal sink). Only 1 electric outlet in the entire suite. ...
This cruise was a good cruise for a short cruise with only 2 port stops; Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman . This ships was good but perhaps because it is small, it did not offer the best fun experience. There was not enough service to keep the common areas clean; hallways were cluttered, tables were left littered with debris and old food every afternoon. Limited service in the Lido deck especially ...
I thought the cruise was great and family friendly. They had something for everyone my family and I liked the family friendly comedy show the most. Our kids are old enough to go to their age group clubs and meet kids their age so we sent them off and we went to the adult comedian show. My youngest daughter is 13 and she went to the 13-17 year olds club and she loved it she also loved the water ...
Me and the wife sailed on the Carnival Fantasy before and enjoyed it so we went back for our honeymoon using a balcony room. It is almost the EXACT same boat as the Fantasy. My biggest complaint is sometimes the staff were a slight bit confused but only due to a language barrier but if you speak very clear and understandable english, you shouldn't have a problem. Walking up in there with slang and ...
We arrived at the terminal and had priority boarding due to the suite that we got. We also had "faster to the fun", which I still don't know what it does exactly. Getting on the ship and everything was easy and only took about 30 minutes. It went very quickly and everyone was very nice and helpful.
We had booked an inside cabin as we just wanted to get away and not spend a crazy amount of ...
Like others I will agree the decor on many of the decks are dated. The carpet needs to be replaced especially around the elevators. Our balcony room was well decorated and so comfortable. It slept two adults and three children.
Food was good. Fine dining was even better. Breakfast was superb.
Entertainment was spot on and we went to many comedy shows and the VIP 70s show. My wife ...
We switched kinda last minute to this cruise after being cancelled from the RC Empress of the Seas which we were originally booked on. We were unable to change our travel dates so this worked out and we didn't have to change our plane tickets. This is the first Carnival cruise we have ever been on, been on quite a few RC cruises before.
We were offered a Junior Suite about a week before ...
