Not impressed AT ALL

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Sensation

I chose this cruise because we were married on Carnival Pride last November and it was wonderful. The food was barely edible. The pizza girl, Mary Ann hid in the back and if you rang the service bell, she came out and asked, "what do you want". Seriously? Maybe some pizza? Even the main dining room was a hit or miss. The food was usually room temperature since the wait staff brought your ...

This is our first Carnival cruise and we enjoyed it very much. I am very impressed with the entertainment team and vibe they generate for the whole trip. We had dinner at the main dining room every night and the food was as expected. It didn't blow me away but it was satisfactory. The buffet was sufficient but I wasn't impressed with the fruit choices and breakfast was the same everyday. ...

Not a bad trip

If you have been on a Royal Caribbean cruise before, then this may not be the cruise for you. I found myself comparing everything, and the Carnival Sensation lost at everything. The ship was clean, but not modern. There is only one small pool and 4 hot tubs. Good luck if you intend to use these amenities on a day at sea. The food was good, but the buffet for lunch is not big enough to handle ...

First Cruise....Horrible Experience

This was my husbands and mine first cruise and first vacation alone together after 12 years. The cruise ship smelled horrible like sewage .The food was absolutely horrible. We pretty much lived off of scrambled eggs and ice cream for 5 days. At the formal dining night the table next to us sent their food back. Meanwhile my husband had received his food which he had sent back and I was still ...

Overall, we enjoy this ship. It is a smaller ship in the fleet but it is easy to get around. This is the third time I have sailed on Sensation and have been pleased with it every time. If you are looking for the biggest, best, and newer things this is not the ship for you. This time around the ship was full but it never felt crowded. The wait for the buffet was never long. The dining room staff ...

I chose this cruise based on price and destination. I am not a big fan of Carnival because the boats are smashed full of people. However, I will say that Carnival keeps people returning based on price and delicious food. That is why I keep coming back to them over and over. It's like an addiction, I guess. The staff on Carnival have always been friendly. This cruise to the Bahamas is really ...

My wife and I cruised on the Carnival Sensation October 29 through November 3rd. It was a five day cruise out of Miami with ports of call being Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. This was our 8th cruise with Carnival. This is a Carnival Cruise. It is not a Ritz-Carlton at sea. If you keep your expectations realistic you will have a very good time. Embarkation was slow. We flew into ...

My husband and I surprised our 3 kids with this cruise. My cousin and her husband and 2 kids also took the cruise. This was their first cruise, as well as our own kids first cruise. It started out with leaving port 2 hours late as we were told they were waiting for people. We went to the elevators to our staterooms, and immediately were hit with the smell of sewage...the odor lasted the entire ...

First and Last Cruise

First Time Cruiser • Age 30s

This was the first cruise that my husband and I ever been on an we both said that this would be our last. First we didn't leave Miami until almost 8pm when we were supposed to leave at 4pm. The boat was very old and there was not much to do on the boat. We went to the comedy shows and they said the same jokes over and over. We couldn't do any excursions because they all got cancelled due to ...

I will start by saying that I am a seasoned cruiser. And I have to agree with others that the Sensation is an old and tired ship. We Thought the crew was fantastic. And we also thought the food was very good. But the ship itself is not a "fun ship". The crew does it's best to try to make up for this. But in the end this was the worst cruise I have ever been on. Details: Ship: As stated the ...
