We booked this cruise about 2 weeks before cruising and had a most relaxing time.
Embarkation was smooth and we were on the ship within the hour. The weather in Sydney was rather windy and rainy. Fortunately, after 2 days at sea, we had beautiful sunny skies.
Overall we found the service by the wait staff in the Main Dining Room to be excellent. Our waiter was Jia Jia from China who was ...
We have enjoyed many cruises over the past 19 years of cruising. We love cruising and find it a most enjoyable way to relax and see some sights.
This was our first cruise on RCI but having enjoyed several cruises on Celebrity and Azamara, we were confident that the standard would be similar given they are under the same parent company.
How wrong we were…
The ship was overcrowded to the ...
This was my first time cruise. Having read some really scathing reviews on this site I was quite anxious that I had wasted my money.
No way! It was a brilliant cruise. From the cabin, the food, the amenities and the crew i have nothing but the highest praise. Mitch the cruise director was obviously on top of everything because all the activities were brilliantly organised. Barbecues on the ...
We had an inside stateroom but this was smart and comfortable. Our Cruise took in two locations in New Zealand, two locations in New Caledonia, and a final stop at Mystery Island. This was a five location, fourteen night cruise resulting in a lot of sea time. Therefore it was vital that the ship had a lot to offer in terms of activities and facilities. Overall this challenge was met. The evening ...
I don’t think that the embarkation issues were sufficient to give this whole cruise a 1 out of 5. However, there is no doubt that the embarkation procedure in Singapore was abysmal: no staff taking responsibility and some passengers taking 6 hours standing in line to board the ship. Having people board the escalators to the mezzanine level to have them fall over people at the top due to ...
Agree totally with previous reviews in relation to the debacle of boarding in Singapore. It really was disgraceful that RCL did not have plans /staff in place to accommodate the huge flow of passengers. Boarding process certainly caused great negativity.
The muster was delayed until 8 pm that evening and again people stood for ages packed in like sardines for the most basic information. A ...
Boarding in Singapore was a nightmare - 4 hours standing in queues. Insufficient staff with insufficient knowledge. People directed to the wrong lines, many rude people pushing in (the same ones that push in at the buffets), luggage lost, and on it went. This seemed to set the tone for the whole cruise. Queuing for everything, everyday. Food in the Windjammer and in the dining room was very ...
Singapore boarding took 3 hours ( some 4 hours ) the worst I have ever encountered, no communications to passengers, no staff had any idea what was happening, PA was distorted.
Admittedly two ships were in port, but one had the impression it would have been the same even with one ship.
Talking to passengers leaving the ships ( Voyager and Mariner ), both leaving passengers had nothing but ...
This was our 5th cruise and the first and last with RCL. We had to write this critic to let future travellers beware, as all our other cruises we have been on were brilliant. Not Royal Caribbean cruise line.
What a disaster getting on board at Singapore. 4 hours in a queue with passengers asking for assistance while the ships crew stood there like stunned mullets ignoring people.
NO Priority ...
We experienced cruisers arrived at the cruse ship terminal in Singapore at our designated time of 2.00 pm - so exited to be heading off on a two week cruise to Sydney via KL, Darwin, Airlie Beach and Brisbane - to be confronted with about 6,000 passengers milling around going nowhere. We knew it would be hectic as RCI had told us to turn up at specific boarding times due to there being two ships ...
