Royal Caribbean has really let itself down badly.
No extras to make it a nice cruise...such as bottles of shampoo, lotions or shower caps, chocolates on bed.
Ship geared towards children.
All movies were children's movies except for the odd and I do mean ODD 3D movie with Tom Cruise as the star.
Waited in dining room for over an hour after ordering for meal to arrive, gave up and ...
This is our second cruise onboard the Voyager of the Seas and we loved it again.
We cruised to the South Pacific for 10 nights.
The ship can take up to 3800 passengers and has been refurbished last year.
There are plenty of activities onboard for every age which is great.
There is a rock climbing wall, ice skating rink, Flow rider simulator, basketball court, jogging track, gymnasium, ...
We were hesitant to book a cruise as we are fairly laid back travelers and not into dressing up for dinner and seeing shows and we thought we could be bored on the ship. But we had a great time we ate mostly in the Windjammer Buffet it was very relaxed you could wear very casual clothes and the food was great, we loved eating there each day. Our room was spacious and in a great location near the ...
The embarkation and disembarkation was very well organised considering there was over 3500 passengers. Also the tenders were well organised, no waiting around.
The food was very good with a lot of variety. It was easy to find a seat in the buffet (Windjammer), which I went to a couple of times, as I prefer to eat in the dining room, which also had a buffet as well as a al-a-carte menu for ...
Our first experience on a cruise ship.
I did a lot of research before hand - we wanted a cruise that had loads activities for teens - our son was almost 16. We all had a ball. Plenty of things to do for us and him - we hardly saw him after a couple of days. He made loads of friends, and is still in contact with some of them, even though they are in different states.
The food, the service, ...
We arrived at the International Passenger Terminal a bit nervous as reviews we had read advised boarding was a nightmare. Checkin of our luggage took 30 seconds. Then we proceeded to the passenger checkin. All up it took about 45 minutes. It was great and this timeframe did not seem unreasonable to us at all.
Firstly we checked out our Stateroom which was an internal one overlooking the ...
We booked this cruise about 2 weeks before cruising and had a most relaxing time.
Embarkation was smooth and we were on the ship within the hour. The weather in Sydney was rather windy and rainy. Fortunately, after 2 days at sea, we had beautiful sunny skies.
Overall we found the service by the wait staff in the Main Dining Room to be excellent. Our waiter was Jia Jia from China who was ...
This cruise is definitely not suited for families. We found there was nothing to do to keep us entertained. The pools were closed for the first 3 days and there was no entertainment provided so we were left bored. The kids club is just a small room with some blocks and play kitchen (3 - 6 years) and a lot of kids cried. The entertainment at night was boring (opera, orchestra - that sort of stuff ...
Food was ordinary - Breakfast , lunch and Dinner never changed in the windjammer...needs to be more creative.
Overcrowded since the refurbishment...queues were common through-out the ship.
This is due to adding 750 people to the ship capacity and reduction of staff.
Cabins are good..so was the cabin stewardess.
Music could be better....although piano bar was awesome. ...
Where do you start? I have always been able to look back on our cruising holidays- 9 in total- fondly, looking back on memorable experiences. Our recent trip on Voyager of the Seas certainly generated memories but not of the kind I would think any company with any shred of pride would gladly promote.
I have not cruised before on a line where the grumblings and complaints of seasoned cruisers ...
