Relaxing Holiday on our First Cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

My wife booked a cruise for our 30th anniversary and it was a wonderful, relaxing holiday. As it was our first cruise we were a little apprehensive but the cruise, ship and staff exceeded our expectations. Boarding the ship was a breeze as the friendly and helpful shore staff made it so easy that we were onboard before we knew it. The size of the Voyager was overwhelming at first, but once we ...

We travelled as a group made up of 13 family and friends ranging in age from 18 to 85. Most of our group had not been on a cruise before and only my partner and i had previously been on Royal Caribbean. Embarkation Very quick from arriving at the pier to getting on the ship. There was a separate line for Crown and Anchor society members so we were able to go straight thru. The buffet on ...

This was our 3rd cruise on Voyager of the Seas and we thoroughly enjoyed every day. Embarkation was a breeze. The whole process flowed so smoothly and we were on board with 25 minutes of arriving at the Circular Quay. Our cabin was great, good location, always clean and well maintained. Our cabin steward was more than helpful and was only too happy to help with anything we needed. The ...

A Lot of Cruising Time

First time with the Voyager of the Seas and with this cruise I got to spend a lot of sea days (5 in total) to experience it. All in all the cruise is good fun taking my family and I to places that we'd never have gone (Mystery Island, Vanuatu/Isle of Pine, New Caledonia). To cut this summary short and for easy-reading I'd mention all the criticisms I have on the cruise. Things that are not ...

This was my first time on a cruise, and after reading the reviews my expectations were rock bottom. However once aboard the ship all my expectations were exceeded, even the room was bigger than I had anticipated! There was a variety of food available, from the the buffet which offered a variety of food everyday to the five star dining experience at the sapphire restaurant, and even to the little ...

Have just returned from my first, and at this stage, last RCI cruise. Having cruised 9 times previously both in Australia and the USA with Princess, NCL and P & O, I was looking forward to experiencing a new line, even though the reviews were not great. Six months before sailing I tried to pay and upgrade our Junior Suite to a full Suite but got no reply from RCI. This did not set a positive ...

We're very regular cruisers - 27 in total. We took this cruise purely for relaxation & not for the ports of call. Beautiful ship & very well maintained. Service was excellent, as was the service on all our other cruises with various cruise lines. Embarkation was very orderly & fast, our cabin was very comfortable & very clean. We were disappointed not to see the Broadway-style theatre shows ...

Third time on Voyager, not quite as good, but still a great cruise

Embarkation was incredibly fast, less than 15 minutes from stepping from the taxi, to walking along Deck 4 after boarding. This was the fastest I've encountered. Lunch in the Windjammer on the first day was quite disappointing compared to my past 4 RCI cruises. No welcome aboard fruit carvings, and a much reduced offering of food choices. Luckily, the food picked up from here, although the ...

All I can say, I do not know why anyone has anything to criticise about this ship and the staff etc. My husband and myself had a fabulous time WE booked a balcony room - which was excellent . The food was exceptional . The boat was always clean and there was definitely an emphasis on hand washing, particularly when entering into food areas. The staff was always friendly and very willing to ...

This is our 3rd cruise with Royal Caribbean and 2nd time on the Voyager of the Seas, loved it the first time we cruised with them, unfortunately the 2nd time was not the same, service has gone down a lot, dinners at the my time dinning not very impressive as a lot of the dishes we ordered did not match what was written and described on the menu and staff serving did not know of the menu changes, ...
