Overall it was more than adequate for the short cruise. Good view of the promenade and very limited noise was heard. Surprised to see tea and coffee making facilities available. Fridge was not cold and acted more as a storage area for drinks. Plenty of room to sit and relax without using the bed. Bathroom was the standard size with the added bonus of no shower curtain but very small cubicle.

Chose the promenade stateroom both for the price and the interesting feature of it overlooking the main shopping promenade. It's a little cramped, but otherwise decent. No issue of noise since we were four floors above, and the pub right down below was not opened. Best advantage is how you get a comfortable view, albeit with muffled sounds, of the street parades. Convenient if you don't wish to squeeze with other passengers during these parades.

Same size as ocean view but has window and window seat that looks down on the Promenade. Great location. Minimal motion in high seas. Quiet even during events in Promenade. That was quite a surprise.

Our room was in the perfect location! We were 8601, back of the ship with an Atrium View. These are just a little more than an inside room but have windows to the promenade. This was an excellent location to go up 3 flights of stairs to the Windjammer for Breakfast, or down 3 flights for dining.

really like deck 8 promenade. the bay window is nice and the room was mostly quite, although backs to a service area so a little noisy at times.

PR Stateroom was a great value and the extra seat offered a little more storage and an added sitting area!

Promenade cabins are the best value on the ship. Great views of the Promenade and all the activities. Great seat for the parade. Cozy and peaceful place to curl up and read or nap. Cabins on deck 6 can be noisy depending on venue below at times. If you go to bed early get a cabin on deck 7 or 8.

Avoid promenade rooms (w/balcony) overlooking Cafe Promenade. Even cabins located farther aft near Boleros would likely be subject to the pounding base drum and bass guitar.

Interesting room. Always something going on on the promenade. Good alternative to a sea view room.

Promenade Overlook--noisy at times, great place to watch parades if you don't like crowds.I find that when taking cruises you don't spend much time in your room anyway -- so much to see and do.

Cabin 8291. Great Promenade Deck View Cabin. This was our second year in the same room.

Promenade room too small. Black out curtains work great - but can't tell day from night - tendency to oversleep. Need a clock in every room - visible at night. Noisy for about an hour at night - then no noise problems at all.

the hallways could be a bit noisy late at night from happy revelers nice if they could think of people perhaps sleeping.

Cabin 7295 overlooking General Store on Promenade. Noisy only during parades and special activities on Promenade. Store for luggage under bed. Cabin steward closed curtains when he made up bed for the night but if he doesn't do it, don't forget to or everyone can see in from across the way.

Cabin 8579, Promenade cabin. I was concerned about noise, and did all the research I could think of. I even Googled the cabin number to see if I could find anything about cabin noise. All indications were that Promenade noise did not reach deck 8. Not true! On the first night, we were trying to sleep when we were practically thrown out of bed with the noise of the parade, which began after 11:00 pm. We also heard other musical events in the Promenade. If you are interested in a quiet cabin, I do not recommend a Promenade cabin.

A little loud during parades & when bands were playing at the bar below, but very quite otherwise. Conveniently located to the elevators & the Cafe Promeade.

We had a Promenade Stateroom which we were very pleased with. Cabin staff were top class. Had a lovely view 2 floors down to the passing parade on the promenade. Room spacious nice furnishings, Bathroom reasonable size. Always kept spotless. Lacked satellite TV which was supposed to be repaired prior to voyage. Seemed to us that we kept away from world TV news to not make people worried or unhappy with world events (Libya-Japan etc.)

-More than enough closet space -Space between the end of the bed and the wall a little too narrow -Very quiet location, except when there was music on the promenade, you could hear the bass. Ear plugs come in handy if you want to sleep if the music goes on late, which only happened once, and it even wasn't that late. -Bathroom had everything we needed.

Small closet and bathroon but not a serious problem in our opinion. Promenade stateroom offered window to people watch and look around which was nice. Very quiet and clean room!

8305 and 8307 - The perfect location - not too much ship movement, quiet, neat Promenade view, connecting, perfect size for family of 4. Two people could be in the bathroom - separate makeup area is a plus. Really good amount of storage.

Great view of the Promenade deck/parades. Try to get the connecting cabins to maximize the space.

We loved this cabin! It was at the very end and looked over the stairwell but in my opinion this was a great view. One concern I had that came to be true was that people riding the elevators could see into the cabin, as could people across from us. We kept the drapes closed whenever we were in the cabin to be on the safe side. But the window seat is a wonderful place to sit and read, or lookout at the happenings below. You do get thumping music noise from the Deck 5 Promenade that goes quite late some nights (past midnight). However, on Day 2 I discovered a piped in music system in the cabin that when set very low would drown out the outside music at night. During the night when things got quiet I would have to get up and turn it off though. For the price I would definitely recommend this cabin.

6307 and 6309 Interios Promenade rooms. Overlook Centrum staircase instead of Promenade. Nice rooms, but not able to see the craziness that is the Promenade.

Good space, not too noisy despite overlooking the Promenade.

PR, Deck 7. Take a PR cabin only if you stay up past 12M each night, it is noisy.

Promenade room is smaller than I'm use to, but funtional for the money and it has a good view. I'd go a little more toward the fore than middle. Noise was not an issue except during main promenade events, like parades and the 70's party (which we went down and joined.)

We were worried that an interior cabin with a window overlooking the busy Royal Promenade would be noisy; however, that was not the case.  This is a nice way to go, if you don't want to spend the $$ for an outside/balcony cabin.
