What ever happened to the Wow?

Review for a Asia Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

We choose this cruise first and foremost for the itinerary so it was less of a concern that much of what we enjoyed when we started cruising with RCI 15 years ago was absent. No greeting with a glass of bubbly on embarkation day. No big production shows each night, ice shows on when most people are ashore, the large lounges empty due to lack of good entertainment and the popular musicians ...

I am left confused as to why so many people left negative reviews on this ship. I am boggled that someone could go on this cruise and find nit picky things to complain about (like your cabin steward not knowing what a blanket was. Do you want to clean your own shower?! No?! Then don't complain about your steward's lack of English. They work hard). We sailed on a 7 day cruise to Kuala Lumpur, ...

BEAUTIFUL SHIP WITH TOO MUCH CROWD

We chose Royal carribean over star cruise due to its ship being newer with more amenities onboard like ice skating , dreamworks parade , activities for all age groups , royal promenade etc.It was a big family get together for us as we were celebrating our parents 50th marraige anniversary. We were all too excited to board the ship but our excitement was short lived due to a long slow moving waiting ...

This is the second time I have been on this ship. This time we did a back to back cruise which was 4 nights (Port Klang, Phuket) then another 3 nights (to Penang). Although we didn't have to change rooms from the first to the second part of the cruise it is a still a little inconvenient. You have to get off the boat and be in transit in the terminal for about 1 hour and go through immigration ...

I never learn do I? For my first cruise in July I made the mistake of going on the cruise review and news sites of which this one is a leading light, and reading the reviews of the cruise I was about to take. My concerns after reading the reviews for my July cruise were proven once again to be utterly unfounded. Despite this, having read the reviews I arrived in Singapore on the 21st of ...

Too much of an Asian influence

Review for a Asia Cruise on Mariner of the Seas

While we appreciate that this ship is out of Singapore & very much caters to the Asian population there are other nationalities who like to cruise & should be catered for more than this ship did. The food while mediocre is very very much Asian orientated. There are sprinklings of Westernised food but that was only soso. The worst was the OJ how disgusting to serve up "powdered watered down ...

As occupants of the Royal Suite, I would have expected that we should at least be provided with bottled water and not have to keep collecting it from the bars. This is the most expensive cabin on this ship and I expected better. Was told that we had to pay extra if we ordered Cappuccino for room service even though we had the Ultimate Drink Package. Well, that’s understandable I guess, but if they ...
