There were 4 of us, myself and my daughter and my friend and her husband. Our ages ranged from 30 to 50. This was my 8th cruise, 5th with RCI and 2nd on Mariner of the Seas. We were there to celebrate my friends 50th birthday and this was also her first cruise. We flew from Brisbane to Singapore the day before and spent one night at Marina Bay Sands. While it was a nice novelty to go in that ...

The ship was great and overall had an okay time. Embarkment was smooth and relatively effortless. The Cafe Promenade was great (the pizza I heard was amazing) for late night snacks. Our cabin was on the 7th deck - had a balcony. Clean room, attendant was great. Had issues with hot water. The only night we ate in the Dining Room was the first night and the food was amazing. It ...

After reading the reviews, and even though this was cruise #55 for me, I was still a bit nervous as it was my first Asia departure on a non-charter. I was taking a friend for their first cruise, so was hoping for the best. Overall, I was pleased and they loved it. Let's talk service first: Like many, I had a hard time believing the service could be as bad as some of these reviews were ...

We took this cruise with our daughter to celebrate her 21st Birthday. We chose this itinerary because she is doing a 6 month UN law internship in Cambodia so we flew to Singapore to meet up with her there . Being a special occasion we splurged on a Grand Suite, and I have to say we very much enjoyed the sweet Suite experience and would highly recommend it. Overall we had a wonderful cruise. Having ...

We chose this cruise for my family vacation. This was our first time travelling by cruise. It's a great experient for all of us. We had a wonderful, fun time. Lots of variety of nice activities available for all ages. I especially enjoyed the show "Ice under the big top" together with my mom and sis. It's an amazing show and we love it. I also joined in dancing class, towel folding and ...

We had priority check-in but was ushered to a busy counter over and over again we ended up standing in the middle of no where for a long time, Food was extremely terrible, fine dining is a joke, served wrong food, mixed up order with other passengers, allocated table for dining is always taken by others, hair in food, overall service on cruise is generally bad, stuck up employees, horrible ...

The last time I cruised with Legend of the Seas in 2013 was very positive, that we decided to embark on a longer cruise in a balcony cabin for a better experience. The 5N cruise included a half day at Penang, and full days at Langkawi and Phuket. In terms of sea days its just about 2 days. Demographics- Majority of the cruisers will be chinese or indians depending. Our cruise still fell ...

The romance of cruising is gone

The overall quality in RYI for the Asian market is quickly going downhill. Already the quality in this market is significantly lower than other markets served by RYI. Even within this market there is definite degradation from that of 2 years ago in the same itinerary and same ship. The Asian leg of RYI is becoming to be mass market mainly because the Chinese passengers are undemanding being ...

We have cruised Asia before and decided to return with a different cruise liner. Overall the ship lived up to our expectations, we did what we wanted to do, relax, join others when we wanted too, but did things at our pace. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Once boarding the ship we walked around and located all the areas we were interested in. Our cabin was spotless, but ...
