The ship had been refurbished and the common areas were very nice, but it looked like nothing had been done to the cabins. Past cruisers had complained about hard beds, so their solution was to put cheap egg crate cushions on the bed. The bed appeared to be very cheap and flimsy, but the bedding was nice. The water flow was so low in the shower it was hard to rinse off.

Cabin 1840

When booking I specifically wanted a deck 12 balcony and I was lucky to find stateroom 1840 available. This was the nicest stateroom we have booked to date with all new appliances and an abundant amount of storage. The only downside, the miniature golf course is on deck 13 and kids would run across the top of your stateroom wild a wild herd of animals. They need better insulation on that roof top.

Our cabin was spacious enough for two people, very clean, but dated. I don't think any of the recent upgrade to Liberty of the Seas was spent on the 7th deck. Cabin attendant Julieus was very attentive and always had a smile.

2nd RCL Cruise By: teitup
The cabin location was great - close to the elevator and in the middle of the ship! The cabin was very roomy and had adequate space for storage. The bed was a little hard so if you're looking for a little cushion, you will be disappointed. The cabin steward kept it clean and restocked with towels. You won't have any toiletries except bar soap and shampoo in the shower. The showers are typical for any ship of this category. Overall - very good!

AMAZING CRUISE!!!! By: twalker002
New and very clean. Thought being on the 12th Deck there might be more issues with motion but actually felt the motion more often on the lower levels than in our room. Very quiet and conveniently located to the Deck 11 Solarium pool for adults and sky bar. If you like the spa also on the same deck. Would book this one again if booking that category!

Our First Cruise By: harvestmeadow
The cabin was in good condition. We had one issue with the toilet just randomly filling and not stopping. We called maintenance and they had it fixed in under 30 minutes. The room was clean and we loved the balcony. The glass on the balcony was very dirty so we wiped it down for better visibility. The outside is just hard for them to keep clean. After the first rain we didn't clean it again. We were unaware that you could adjust the volume of the captain's messages and opened our door to hear him because we didn't see the dial to turn on the cabin speaker until we were leaving. We didn't see our steward but we had stickies that I left on the mirror and he took care of our needs thoroughly. The connections in the bathroom were not standard 110 or 220, they had odd connections for razors. Can't hook up hair dryers or curling irons in the bath, only connectors are in the vanity. A hair dryer was in the vanity. There is a small clothing line in the shower but we took clips to attach our suits to the chairs for faster drying. Double check your bill.

Our balcony stateroom was small as expected, but clean and well laid out. Our room was "on the hump" so I think our balcony may have been slightly larger than some others, either way, it was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting and enjoying a drink on the balcony almost daily. The kids had a Promenade view stateroom across the hall, which was even smaller than ours, but the bowed window with the window seat was a huge hit. If I had it to do over for them though, I would have booked a room slightly farther forward so they would have had a better view of the promenade, but they still loved the room so it's all good.

Overall a very good cruise. By: Uncle Al95670
Cabin had one queen bed that we split into two singles. Beds were very comfortable. Had plenty of room to store our bags, and hang up our clothes. Also plenty of drawer space for the stuff we didn't hang up. Bathroom was small, but clean. Shower worked fine. Sink in the bathroom had enough room to wash our shirts and underwear, and plenty of space to hang them to dry. There was even a clothes line in the shower to hang clothes. TV worked great, with a wide selection of channels.

Cabin 8556
Mar 2015
STATEROOMS: 8556 and 8554, not adjoining but we had the balcony divider opened between the two rooms so in that regard we had a large balcony and could go back and forth to each room without slamming the hall way doors on people trying to nap. Very convenient to forward elevators which seemed almost never crowded compared to rear elevators. Most of what we wanted to do seem at the aft of the ship (windjammer, pools, flowrider, sports deck, Johnny Rockets, MDR, Ice Skating Studio B) so it made for a good bit of walking, but we'd just go to deck 5 promenade or deck 11 pool deck and stroll to the back of the ship for the stuff we wanted to do. The shows were in the theater forward of the ship so convenient to those. I've mostly stayed middle of the ship, and this stateroom did experience a bit more motion, however the entire cruise we must have had some rough seas as there was far more rocking and movement than I've ever experienced before on smaller ships so I'd probably not hesitate to book this cabin again based on motion of the ocean. We were just about 3 staterooms forward of the cantilevered Whirlpools in the Adult Pool Area. 3 decks walk down to Deck 5 for Cafe promenade and Ben and Jerrys (both back of the ship of course) and 3 decks walk up to pool deck 11 and windjammer so in that regard very convenient. Both staterooms had the pull down bed for our youngers. They were fun for the kids, but when they would move around at night to cover up or shift positions it was a bit noisy, but nothing intolerable.

This was a great room! Our first balcony and now there's no going back. This stateroom is on the port side toward the back of the "hump" which makes it especially private because of its orientation. It's extremely close to the aft stair/elevator bank so it was very convenient to get to get to Windjammer and to the outdoor pool area (just out the door and up a few flights) and to the main dining room (down a few flights). We loved that it was so centrally located. It was clean, spacious, and everything we'd hoped for in a stateroom.

The room was nice overall. *The balcony had a glass railing so you could sit and still look out. *Room attendant was great.*Bed was comfortable, but must have been older because they put a textured foam pad on top of the mattress which was a little hard to get used to.*The shower had doors which I prefer over a curtain, but did have a slight sewage smell here (as well as various other areas throughout the ship).

We were in 7226, a 'deluxe balcony stateroom' and it spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was plenty big enough, the shower was hot and powerful and the bed - oh the bed! It had an 'egg-cup' style foam matress topper and it was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! It was huge and perfect and I wanted to throw it over the side of the ship and take it home with me on the final morning!

Nice cabin towards the forward section of the ship (right under the cantilevered whirlpools). It's a great cabin if porting in Haiti and Falmouth. If going to Labadee, you get to view Haiti the whole way into the port and have a great view when in port. In Falmouth, you get to see Jamaica as the boat turns around to port, and have a great view of the entire port area. Would definitely stay in this exact same cabin again. Very close the elevators, and just steps away from the Royal Promenade. It is right across from the service area, so when they are bringing the bags up to the floor, it gets a little busy in the area. But it was quiet the whole time.

Cabin 9704
Nov 2012
9704 corner aft is a fantastic balcony cabin. The obstructive view mentioned with this cabin is a bar (part of the super structure)this bar is down the left hand side of the balcony and the only thing it obstructs is you from climbing into next doors balcony! Being on the corner this means you get a little extra space and a fantastic almost complete panoramic view. There was mention in some reviews of soot on this balcony too... In our 14 night cruise we experienced a very small amount of soot on the floor at the front of the balcony which has unless you planning on crawling around on the floor putting your hands into the corners of this balcony it shouldn't bother you. All in all you pay the same amount for a normal balcony and get an awesome one with a door and a porthole (which by the way is fun to sit in but still little hard to get back up). My only complaint being that the door is heavy to open.

For those who seek to get away from the noise and listen to the sea rustle in the back ground through the open balcony door...get the an E2 deluxe with sea facing balcony. We were on deck six forward of the bulge and found it close to the lift and one floor from the promanade. The bed was big enough for four and very very comfortable. Fridge is okay but not cool enough, packing space was more than enough with extra space under the bed for suitcases. Bathroom was small but okay..maybe I'll take a bath with the next cruise..the wife would enjoy that. TV was very handy for checking the expenses, power points were enough...remember there's one in the bathroom as well. Room was well serviced to the point where we tipped him 40 dollars over the expected rate..well worth an up front 20 to ensure attention at all times, not that it was really necessary.

9386 Smaller closet than we'd like. No bottled amenities such as body lotion, conditioner, etc. No shower caps (provided in suites only. Nice clean balcony (no soot). Very well-maintained. No noise from neighbors unless you count wild kids running up and down the hallways. Awesome bed comfort and linens. Top notch.

Cabin 8338
Mar 2012
-We had a balcony cabin on the bump, 8338, and it was very nice. It was the usual D8 long skinny cabin. I find that walking around the bed is tight in these cabins but otherwise plenty of space. There was a constantly wet spot on our floor outside our bathroom but we just learned to avoid it. Our attendant was rarely around and his service was adequate, nothing to write home about. Oh yeah, they don't put ice service in cabins anymore, you have to request it now. I thought the location of this cabin was ideal for getting to anywhere in the ship easily. We were near stairs and elevator and close to dinner (below us a few decks). The only annoying thing was the kids running up and down hallways, thump thump thump.
