Mr Goodyear, formerly US Navy - is a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack on the USS Oklahoma on Dec 7, 1941. He was instrumental in the creation of the USS Oklahoma Memorial in Pearl Harbor.
Carnival Conquest is the first in a new series of mega-ships. At 110,000 tons, it's actually not all that much larger than the Destiny class (which weighs in at 101,000 tons) but it is every bit as much a "city at sea." Mostly that's a plus because more space means more choices.
The onboard atmosphere, with its large-ship feeling, lots of playful passengers in all age groups and excellent entertainment, really aims to celebrate playtime -- for adults as well as kids.

The full deposit is required for all singles, triples, quads and suite cabins of $250 per person.
The second deposit of $225 per person for those who booked under the reduced deposit will be due on May 15, 2009 and the final payment for the group will be due July 24, 2009.
There is a $50 cancellation penalty per cabin.
