As big as the Grand Suite we had on the Carnival Paradise. The balcony was big enough to have two loungers and two chairs and a table. Loved it! We had two adults and two kids, and didn't feel cramped at all. Even with the sofa pulled out to become a bed, there was a chair with ottoman that we used all the time. The bathroom was big, with a tub, and we had the biggest closet I've ever had on a cruise, a walk in with 5 shelves covering an entire wall. Heaven! Read entire member review >>
Great room with an even better balcony.
Cabin service was excellent. Our attendant gave us her card, but we never had to call her. We tipped her extra for her care (daily ice, towel elephants, shampoo, extra towels, turn down service, and friendliness) Read entire member review >>
A superb cabin if one likes to be at the aft of the ship looking at the wake with just an open deck below which is totally inaccessible to all but the odd crew member. The balcony is large and completely private. Read entire member review >>
A large spacious cabin with walk in closet and plenty of drawer space. Tea making facilities which were topped up daily by the room attendant. This is an adjoining cabin but we didn't hear the next door occupants. This suite has internal cabin's opposite and occasionally we heard foot traffic passing but it was negligible. This cabin is situated on deck 10 under deck 11 which is the swimming pool area. At times for a few moments you could hear children running above or the cleaning crew moving the chairs around but this would not stop me from choosing this location again as it was midship and close to all amenties. The fridge is empty which is a bonus to keep your own water chilled.
The balcony was the size of one and a half cabins so plenty of space for the two sunbeds and two chairs and small table. The balcony was full glass so able to get a good view whilst sitting down.
Although the bathroom was spacious I found the bath too high to get in and out of and the shower over the bath was a hard spray which my husband did like.
Our room steward was efficent and inconspicuous and every few nights I was delighted to find a different towel animal left on the bed.He made a Polar Bear, Turkey and a Dog. Read entire member review >>
Well maintained by Valerio, excellent storage and uber comfortable bed. We have never had any complaints about any room in which we have travelled over the years. Housekeeping staff do a first class job throughout the fleet....always pleasant and eager to assist. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was very spacious and well organized with a couch, chair and table near the sliding door. Balcony was very comfortable and had two chairs plus two loungers. Storage is more then enough. Bath was larger then a balcony room. RCCL Junior Suites are larger then Princess Mini Suites Read entire member review >>
This was a nice cabin, large in size and despite its 8 year age, it was still in decent repair. The sofa's upholstery was all but gone and had to use a pillow to be able to use it comfortably. Bathroom is good size with a bath and in-bath shower. Housekeeping service was not great, cabin attendant did the minimum possible. Balcony was large with two loungers two chairs and a small drinks table. Quite a long walk from the elevators if you are mobility restricted. Read entire member review >>
Nice size cabin with a great walk in closet. A place for everything with lots of storage areas. Good size balcony with 2 lounges and two chairs with a small table. The bathroom had one sink with vanity and a bathtub. The king size bed was comfortable with a nightstand on either side. A small mini bar and safe as well as lots of counter space. We loved this suite! Read entire member review >>
I have no complaints about the cabin. Our stateroom attendant, Arjay, was amazing, friendly, and had a great attitude. Our room was always clean and tidy each time that we arrived back. I was very surprised at how attentive he was as I have cruised before and had previous attendants only do this twice a day. The air conditioning in the cabin worked great, as well. Our cabin was a delight. I originally had us midship in a JS, but I kept a watch for open cabins and about a month before final payment, a JS opened up on deck 7 aft. I moved to that room – no extra charge. I kept watching and about three days before final payment - blamo – there was deck ten, JS right in the middle of the aft balconies with no one above us. The Windjammer was above us and we had absolutely no noise from above. Our cabin had lots of privacy. We could see down into the higher level suites, but no one could see into our balcony. The view aft of the wake is something to cherish. My husband liked the wide open view – you could see so much on the sides that you could not normally see in a regular balcony. We ate breakfast there and watched the sun come up. I am completely spoiled now. If I was offered an upgrade to a “real” suite – I would have turned it down. This cabin and the one right next to it – best cabins on the ship in my opinion. Read entire member review >>
We were in Junior Suite 9568 port side forward. It's slightly to the left and below one of the hot tubs in the Solarium. If you look at the deck plans and also the ship from the outside, it does appear that the balcony on this one is slightly larger, a mini hump, if you will. In reality, it was likely more of an optical illusion. In any case, the balcony was roomy. The room itself was fine; all the typical benefits of a JS. It was a decent location; close to the forward stairs/elevators and not too far of a walk to the mid ship stairs/elevators. It was quite for the most part and we did not notice any significant amount of movement in the room (the seas were REALLY calm this cruise). Read entire member review >>
Room was large enough but bathroom seemed a little smaller than on Freedom for a junior suite. There was some trash (candy wrappers, toy) in the room when we went in at first and cigarette butts on balcony. Other than that room was fine. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was clean and well maintained. The views were amazing from the balcony and the size of the cabin was perfect for our family. Our room attendant was top notch and ensured we had everything we needed. He was not overbearing and was very polite. Read entire member review >>
Perfectly located near elevators, our cabin was roomy with a large balcony. We recommend the junior suites as a minimum for trips more than 3 or 4 days. The full shower/tub combo is worth it alone. Read entire member review >>
Great size room for a family traveling with a toddler. Plenty of room to play and not interfere with getting around cabin. Tub is also great for bath time. Balcony wonderful with loungers and chairs. Read entire member review >>
This was our first time in a JS, and we loved it. I especially liked all of the storage space with the walk-in closet. It was so nice to have the extra room when we invited friends over. The cabin was well maintained and very clean. I liked having a bathtub in the bathroom, too. Read entire member review >>
We had a Junior suite, so our room was a nice size and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. The TV was small for the room we thought. Our shower had barely enough water pressure to keep the shower valve engaged. One time my wife turned on the sink to brush her teeth, and the shower stop right when I had a face full of soap. We were in a junior suite 9348. It was a hump JS and we would opt for that area again. We have had JS class before and always enjoy it. For us it is worth the price jump for the extra space, closet, tub and extra balcony area. We truly enjoy our balcony privacy. As a note we have sailed on 8 other cruises and this was our first time to have a balcony that wasn't on the aft. We were afraid we would miss it, but have to say, we now prefer the side balcony. Much more air movement and with the hump, we also felt the view was just as good. Read entire member review >>
This is a wonderful stateroom with and outstanding room stewart. This room offered ample space inside and out. With a spacious walk in closet there was has plenty of storaage space. The room location ondeck 10 is convient to the stairwell, elevators, Windjammer Cafe and pool decks. The room was quiet with no noises leaking in from decks above or below. I would highly recommend this stateroom or the ones immediately near it to anyone. Read entire member review >>
Excellent choice for more space. Walk in closet provides enough space for any amount of luggage and items. Bathroom is good sized. Cabin large enough to entertain friends. Balcony had two chairs, small table and two loungers, again large enough to entertain friends. Small amount of noise during the day from pool area above. We were able to have an afternoon nap without it being a problem. No noise at night from upper deck or hallway. Cabin in good shape, slight amount of normal wear and tear. Excellent position to access either end of the ship. Bring a power extension, either 220v or 110v, as power outlets are limited. Good value for money and we would select this room again with no hesitations. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was nicely situated. Close enough to stairs/elevators. Only 2 floors below the buffet restaurant. Had more than enough storage. The bedding was very comfortable. It would have been nice to have had a 2nd tv in the sitting area. Bathroom was large and efficient. Loved having a tub. Balcony was large enough for the 2 of us. Read entire member review >>
Junior Suite Number 9298, located deck 9, mid-ship. Spacious, with walk in cupboard suitable for getting dressed. Clean, spacious bathroom. Good balcony, with no overhang so good views. No noise from decks above or below, or cabins through the wall.
Would recommend! Read entire member review >>
Cabin 9626 ..Junior Suite - Port side. This cabin was Mid ship and very convenient for the lifts and stairs. Only 2 levels to go up to the Windjammer Cafe. It was my 1st experience in a Junior Suite and I loved it. The cabin was roomy and the plus for me was having a Walk In Wardrobe. There was also a bath/shower ..nice to have the choice. I really liked the size of the Balcony as it was big enough to accommodate a Sunbed + comfy lounger with leg rest also 2 chairs & a table. There was lots of storage space in the cabin and loads more in the Walk In wardrobe area. A nice thing to have was also the kettle & coffee maker. Cabin 9626 is close to the 'hump' so as far as looking at the views from the balcony - looking out to the RH Side there was a clear view & to the left obviously you couldn't see around the hump, this really wasn't a problem though! I will be opting for a Junior Suite again as I loved the space. Read entire member review >>
7714 - JS aft, centre, Freedom style vessels have large beams at aft enclosing the balcony areas. The view of the sea was fine but prefer ships where there is a direct drop into the sea with no obstruction. Large stateroom with walk in closet to right and bathroom to left. Bath with shower curtain but no shower cabinet. Bed to left, facing sideways, large sofa and chair with footstool. As per general cabin pictures on RCCL website. Large balcony with 2 chairs and 3 chairs with footstools and small table. Double sliding doors. Flat screen TV. Beware it is a long walk from the elevators and stairs to aft balcony cabins on this class of ship. Also beds are in dire need of updating and ours was reported to housekeeping for replacement, too late in my case as I departed ship with chronic back injury caused by this. Lovely size, great balcony and very clean. Lots of storage space and good position on the ship as it was in the middle and less prone to movement in the choppy seas (although we did move about quite a bit)! Read entire member review >>
Independence of the Sea Junior Suite 9568. It is a nice large room, but not a suite with separate seating area. Bathroom had a nice tub and granite sink. Walk in closet which had alot of room. This room was across from Service Doors but didn't hear anything. There was not alot of people walking through the halls which was good. Balcony was a nice size. One problem was that one day there was some sort of backup in the toilet and we had sewerage all over the bathroom. Read entire member review >>
We were at the very back of the ship great balcony .
Engine noise different every day very large bed very comfy ! There are steel barriers at the back of the ship but did not ruin the view from the balcony . Read entire member review >>
Junior Suite is perfectly comfortable, ample closet space (not quite enough hangers, but that can also come down to how much excess baggage you have). Bath is of course lovely twice a day, especially when someone else is cleaning it for you. TV is repetative but you wont be watching it much anyway apart from checking your on board account progress to the stratosphere. Mini bar contains juice but no alchohol, coming from Scotland I couldn't quite see the point in that? Beds, super comfortable and it was kind of the ship the rock me to sleep every night. js 1366 deck 10
nice cabin, plenty of space, settee and lovely chair and foot stool, bit of noise from kids running in corridor but that on every deck lovely balcony with 2 chairs, small table and 2 loungers Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was a Junior Suite. The cabin was spacious, and very well presented. We were far enough away from the lifts, but opposite a service kitchen, which was not at all noisy. The staff who worked there were very quiet, and often most of the work was done whilst we were out of our cabin during the day.The services staff could be seen often cleaning the balconys following a tannoy message to ask us to keep the doors closed, and the window cleaners and ship painters were seen on a regular basis. Our cabin was very comfortable, the bed huge and it had one of those memory matresses, which was just wonderful. One fault I would say is that hoovering did not get done every day, and especially on the balcony , we would have to wait till turn down service in the evening to have the balcony cleaned and the ashtray emptied. We would not get refills of shampoo, lotion, soap every day, and often a towel or too got missed, but these things did not deter, that the cabin was lovely.Wardrobe space was a walk in room and plenty of space in there, plenty of drawer spaces throughout the cabin too.One small fault is that the elctrical points were not enough. We took a 4 plug British extension lead with us, and I am so glad we did, as we only had 2 pin sockets which we used an adapter on. Read entire member review >>
We had an AFT Jr. Suite, very large balcony with 2 chairs, 2 loungers and a small table. Dislikes were that you directly down on your neighors one deck below and a lot of steel infa-structure to look through. Read entire member review >>
The PERFECT cabin. It was spacious. The balcony was huge, larger than a standard JS. We could feel a little bit of a vibration while moving, but nothing to make us not want to stay in this cabin again. It was a long walk back to the cabin so if you have mobility issues, do not take an AFT cabin. But this cabin made me an Aft Lover :) Read entire member review >>
