Excellent cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Koningsdam

We chose this cruise because we love transatlantics and had been on the Norway cruise last summer on this ship. We love this ship! Meals in the dining room were excellent and the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto meals were outstanding. We think the pizza is the best at sea, and the hamburger is the best anywhere! We enjoyed cappuccinos every morning in the Crows Nest coffee venue. All employees were ...

Superb 14-day Transatlantic

KONINGSDAM is our new favorite ship after 100's of days of World cruising. Great staff from Stateroom to Dining to Bars. Ship is nearly new, and It showed. April Transatlantic from Florida to Italy was ideal. We went HAL instead of flying to Italy for Holidays, a real $$Bargain$$. ON/OFF was flawless as usual with HAL. Baffled why anyone would complain. I used the Pools and Hot-tubs daily and they ...

This is my seventeenth cruise and the first one with HAL. I really liked the service and friendliness of the staff. The food was quality. I especially liked the fresh berries for breakfast. We had a transatlantic, I was afraid that they would end. But the berries were daily. I have not seen this with other cruise companies. The choice in the restaurant is decent. On a solemn evening served foie ...

The cruise was longer than expected without a cruise port for a week. I got an education for sure, and I plan to stick to 10 or 12 days. Food was just OK, nothing special to write about. However, all I can brag about was the service and attention I received from my cabana attendants at The Retreat cabana rental on a Deck 12. No kids running around. Great my era music, 60s and 70s, played ...

We decided on this Itinerary when we were looking for a cruise for my sixtieth birthday on April 11, and Koningsdam docked in Rome on that date! Perfect. We booked an AirBNB in Rome for a few days after the cruise as well. This was going to be a Great trip. Booking: We booked an inside cabin and at the lowest price offered. Our original cabin was an L category. There was a price drop right ...

Good ship, noisy cabin

First time on the Koningsdam and first transatlantic trip. This fairly new (2 years) ship is tastefully designed in a “modern” style with warm subdued colors and a relaxing feel. The food in all venues was the best we have experienced on a HA ship. The main dining room experience overall was good delivering consistently decent food. The service can be slow at times and the dining room ...

Wow. What a great ship and cruise line. We have been cruising with Princess the last four times and thought it was time for a change. And I’m glad we did! Embarkation and disembarkation were an absolute breeze, service was excellent. From the pool guys to the officers, everyone was wonderful. The ship layout was lovely and simple to navigate. Our verandah room 8014 was lovely and quiet. We never ...

Wonderful Experience on the Eurodam

The service onboard was outstanding, the food was excellent, and we plan on sailing with HAL and the Eurodam in the future. We pretty simple in our tastes, and don't need ice skating rinks climbing walls, water slides, or big screens on deck to enjoy a cruise. I like the fact that HAL still embraces the traditional Promenade Deck, as a relatively quiet place to relax, read, or take a stroll ...

This was my first cruise, so I chose a 7 day cruise. Our cabin was amazing (Neptune Suite). The Neptune lounge was great. Plenty of goodies to nibble on. It's just a shame the only beverage (free) in the lounge was coffee (free) beverages. Even soda was charged for. (I can see charging for alcohol, but imo soda should be free in the lounge. The concierge (Vincent), was awesome. He fixed and ...

Great Cruise (But Never Again Over Spring Break)

We chose this cruise (14-day back-to-back) because the price was right and we wanted to experience the Eurodam. We've always had good luck with HAL which is why we keep going back. This cruise was no different. HAL caters to folks in our age group (retirees) and generally you can expect a laid back cruise. If you're into rock climbing walls, water slides, arcades, partying into the late hours and ...
