This is just our second cruise so we are by no means any experts so read this review with that in mind.
Check in was smooth and easy we were a bit late from delayed flight so we checked in around 2:00PM and it was not that busy.
We also were able to access our cabin right away. Went to the LIDO for lunch and it was not so busy which we found out later in the cruise was not the norm. If you ...

The crew didn't seem to care about going the 'extra mile' to help. There seems to be a morale issue with most of the crew.
Food was average at best, somehow they managed to make all their pork dishes dry and tough, even the ones that were only cooked to medium were dry.

My wife and i sailed on the nieuw amsterdam out of ft. Lauderdale on december 9th. The check in process was easy, and we were pleased to find that our oceanview room had a floor to ceiling window and a nice, spacious shower. The ship itself has been maintained well. We sailed on the Oosterdam in December 2018 for 7 days. This was the quietest trip we have ever been on. We aren't looking for a huge party, but a little activity around the pool would be good.
