We were on this ship for 59 days. For 59 days we smelled SEWAGE in the corridors. The ship and its furnishings appeared rundown, worn out and FILTHY. It was a great overall experience. The itinerary is what attracted us to this cruise as we had done China, Korea, Japan and a Transpacific to Vancouver in 2015 and this cruise offered new Asian ports - just the 16 day itinerary. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We have previously sailed with P&O, Princess and APT.
Embarkation was very crowded and took a long time. I don't understand why the times aren't staggered to prevent hundreds of passengers arriving at the same time.

We've been on Holland American several times over the years. It was a far better cruise line before being acquired by Carnival. We were onthe old Niew Amsterdam and the newer one. We also cruised on Zandaam.
