Found drawers which were jammed shut and couldn't open. Closet door broken. Kept stepping on curtain when using shower because of it blowing in. Next to no water pressure in bathroom sink. Our stateroom attendant was excellent but you can't fix up and clean up what should be replaced. Someone did come and re-varnish our railing on balcony one day but it didn't look much better than before. Apparently didn't sand it and just put varnish to cover up bare and worn spots! I guess you could cal this a 'Cruise Ship' standard stateroom, nothing really to write home about. Two single beds pushed together, love seat, balcony. Large enough for two adults for a week. One thing that has been mentioned on previous post and reviews, the beds are low to the floor, with little room to store luggage. In fact my wife kept her suitcase on the love seat for the duration of the cruise. Nicely decorated, with a flat screen TV, and modest size bathroom with Shower.
The room was clean upon or arrival, and was kept so for the duration by the cabin attendant.
My two sons, (ages 21 and 18) were in an inside room on deck 3. Again, the room, (I apologize for not having the dimensions) was one could consider 'Cruise Ship standard' was more than adequate for two people for a week. Read entire member review >>
The location for our family of 4 (9yr old and 12yr old) was ideal. In between the 2 elevator/stairs bay. The size of the room was better than I thought. It was very quiet... never head anyone on either side of us. The decor is just ok... it kind of looks a little "80's" but that was fine. I found our patio door very difficult to open and close (my kids weren't strong enough to close it and I had to use all my weight to push it closed in order to lock it). Also, the door itself was smudgy. I don't think it could have been cleaned with Windex... it seemed to be more of a permanent thing. There's a lot of storage space which we were very happy about since there were 4 of us in there. Also, the furniture on the balcony was better than the plastic stuff Disney has on theirs. The bed I thought was very comfortable as did my husband but we like hard enough mattresses. I've heard others think it's too hard but thought it was great. My kids slept comfortably in the pullout couch. The issue I had was with the bathroom. There was always some sort of lingering smell in there so it helped to keep the door open. The worst was that our toilet only seemed to work when it felt like it. Sometimes it flushed fine, other times it would flush on its own later. One time, a crazy loud noise came from it (the water was drained from it) and the noise lasted for about 20 seconds before it made a slushing sound and quieted again. I told our cabin attendant but of course it was fine when he came in to test it out. After that we just put up with it and prayed that it wouldn't stop working! :) Read entire member review >>
Cozy, clean, plenty of storage although our suitcases were almost too deep (thick?) to slide under the beds (needed to lift the bed to get them to fit). Love the balcony! Had a difficult time explaining to the cabin steward that a sliver of soap is not enough to use in the shower. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was average size for a veranda. The cabin was supposed to have a mini bar, however the refrigerator was non existent, and the contents sans liquor were placed in the empty space. I brought this to the attention of the cabin steward who said he would take care of it. About 3 hours later he brought a refrigerator the operated on 220 volts and would not fit in the space provided and would have to be placed on top of the vanity area, we declined to take it as it would have taken up too much space and cause a loss of and electric outlet. The shower was a bit larger than most, the sink was very small and water pressure was nonexistent. The toilet was problematic as it did not flush often and the flush button had to be tapped several time for it to function. The beds were adequate although I woke each morning with a kink in my back. The balcony needed work, the teak rail was raw wood not smooth polished finish. There were signs of rust and poor housekeeping on the balcony. Read entire member review >>
I cannot say enough good about this cabin. It was in great condition, and it had more storage than one could ever need for two people. The amount of “ oohs and crannies” for storage was amazing. The beds were comfortable. I even asked for additional pillows and got them from housekeeping with no problem. I loved being down on three closer to the water. The mist from large waves crashing against the ship were beautiful to watch outside our window. The only concern we had was that when you are big as I am (6’5” - 270lbs) - a shower curtain is a pain in the butt. A sliding door is much better and provides a little more room when all tucked in the shower stall. My stateroom attendant (“Liliana”) was just so-so. She was pleasant enough, but on multiple occasions, we put in special requests during the cleaning of our cabin and could not seem to “remember” what we asked her to do (e.g., “please leave the trash can next to the chair and not under the desk.”) Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was better than I expected for an older ship. We had a balcony on the 7th deck towards the aft. It was pretty quiet. We heard the engines a little, but not loud at all. It was clean, though small. We had plenty of storage space for all our stuff. There were cupboards and drawers a plenty. Our room attendant was really awesome and very attentive. I loved coming in some nights to the towel animals. I ended up giving him some of our door magnets with his tip at the end. Read entire member review >>
7526......Small but still plenty of room for my husband and I, plus our two daughters (7 and 8) Plenty of storage in the room and in the bathroom. The shower was small, but expected that to be the case. The balcony was big enough for the four of us to be out there watching the waves. Very quiet and not far from the elevator/stairs. Loved going up 2 flights for the Windjammer and pool, and down 1 or 2 for the Theater (depending on where we sat) No smells that some have complained of on the ship. Great room! The room was very clean, and stayed that way throughout our cruise. There are several storage closets and drawers. If the bed would have been a little higher we could have stored our suitcases under it. The balcony was a little smaller than we have had on other cruises. We slept very well, we did not hear any hallway noise, and we only heard our neighbors (on both sides) when we were on the balcony at the same time, never in our room. Read entire member review >>
