Deck 8 forward, starboard side, next door to the Royal Suite. Cabin was well appointed, comfortable, well laid out, and had an efficient cabin steward. Unfortunately, as with all Owner's Suites (and the Royal Suite) on the Vision-Class RCI ships,... From early morning until late at night there is a constant annoying rumble of heavy carts on the steel deck above, along with heavy objects dropped onto the deck above. (It's what it must sound like to live directly under a bowling alley). The Windjammer Marketplace galley is located immediately above these suites. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was excellent. In spite of the previous reviews I read regarding noise on the deck above the cabin we found that issue to be resolved. It sometime sounded like distant thunder but the buffet closed early so noise from the 9th deck was not an issue. The facilities worked well and the hot water was very hot. The internet was extremely slow but that is standard for most satellite internet providers. Television programming needs improvement. Read entire member review >>
The room was large, located near the front of the ship starboard side. The room temperature controls worked great, as did the lighting controls. The bed was comfortable, the L shaped sofa was comfortable. the dining table chairs were a bit heavy to move around but they were ok. Tons of storage space for any amount of clothing or luggage, we had 5 suitcases, a hanging bag and two bags for scuba gear and everything had a place. The bathroom is immense, with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, two sinks, a toilet and a bidet. Read entire member review >>
Fantastic room and terrible at the same time.We treated ourselves to the Owner's Suite and we were wonderfully impressed with the amenities and the amount of space. We had a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, a separate stall shower, double vanity/sink, toilet and bidet - all appointed in beautiful marble. The living space was absolutely huge. Big, flat screen TVs and a nice size balcony with two chaise lounges with a small snack table for each. Now for the downside of this wonderful space. It's on deck 8, forward, starboard side. Terrible location, as it is under the Windjammer Cafe. Loud, lots of noise over your head and all night long, the kitchen staff are moving stuff through the cafe. It's like sleeping under a highway. So, we opened the balcony doors and let the ocean noise drown it out. It worked for the most part.Second and more annoying - the toilet didn't work 7 out of 10 days. Constant issues with flushing. I had read about these issues on this site and hoped they had been corrected, but unfortunately that was not the case. My wife and I began referring it to as "Phone to Flush". Annoying, irritating and just really put a damper on an otherwise wonderful trip. We've cruised on NCL, Holland America and Princess and we wanted to try Royal Caribbean so we could pick one cruise line and begin earning frequent cruiser benefits. Loved Royal Caribbean with this one exception. Definitely would not sail on Grandeur of the Seas again unless I read about them totally renovating the plumbing system. Read entire member review >>
Owners Suite - 8532 - Lovely large suite with huge bathroom, with jacuzzi bath, shower, twin basins. Very large open spaces and plenty of cupboard space. Two large LCD TVs, enough sleeping space for 4. Large balcony with two wicker loungers with comfy mattresses. Great accommodation but pricey . Read entire member review >>
