A private balcony is just one of many fabulous features. These categories also include twin beds which make up into a comfortable queen-size bed, a refrigerator and TV, a spacious closet and a bath with shower.
We had the worst, dirtiest cabin steward ever (Melchor). Did not provide the Anniversary amenities or the Captain's Circle information about the platinum/elite evening cocktail parties. Went to Captain's Circle and Melissa resolved this for us. Tried to pass off a dirty glass as clean for 7 days, and never cleaned up the sink area. You could tell this guy just did not give a damn about the passenger experience as there were a couple of weeks of dust on the lamps, hair dryer and under the TV.
However the balcony was the perfect place to sit during our day touring Glacier Bay park. At least the balcony was clean. Read entire member review >>
Aloha 707 is below the Windjammer and apparently a bathroom so there was noise from above sometimes, and in the bathroom you could here sounds of running water all the time in the walls, it was highly annoying but only heard when in the bathroom, everything function well in there though. Our cabin had hard mattresses. I hope they replace those soon! OK for a week, but barely. There was a strong mildew smell in our bathroom all week, and a little bit of black mold in the shower area that I tried to clean up myself. Our room steward seemed overworked and harried, although polite and friendly. Read entire member review >>
We have no negative comments about the cabin. For a week's cruise it is fine. The balcony gives "escape" space for kicking up one's feet and reading in quiet. We have always had balcony cabins for one-week cruises and had a mini-suite on a 2-week Panama Canal cruise. The extra mini-suite interior room was fine, but not always used. We find that clothes storage space is ample in a balcony (non-suite) cabin for one or two week cruises. We plan our clothing carefully based on climates and combination options, something any thoughtful traveller will do. We carry several cameras and electronics that require outlets for recharging. Princess has ample 110V outlets. Also, climate control in the cabins has always been good. Beds are comfortable. The mini-suites have extra padding over supportive mattresses. Worth the extra cost??? Cabin stewards have always provided excellent service, and get our appreciation beyond the daily add-on charge. I provide a negative rating for departure. It was less than smooth and lacked organization. Our Platinum status should have provided expedited check-in. Not so. Then, there was someone in the check-in line who vomited in view of Princess staff, but was not removed for a health check. Passengers dodged the mess on the floor. Read entire member review >>
B247; Spacious closet. Plenty of room in the bathroom. Shower did not feel cramped. Room felt spacious, nice layout. Liked having bed near the balcony door. Nice location. Covered private balcony. Quiet location, close to elevators and stairs. Read entire member review >>
