The cabin was nice... except for the rust in the balcony. The stateroom attendant was very responsive. Overall good experience.
- Showers don't have doors
- Lots of cabinet and hanger space in closet, room and bathroom
- Balcony doesn't have loungers, just 2 chairs and a table Read entire member review >>
We loved this cabins location. It was close to the elevator which we were worried about at first. In the end, we loved the location. It was quiet, and we never had to make that long trek down the hall to our room. We could get to the Windjammer quickly via the stairs or elevator, same for the casino and the smoking area on Deck 5. We enjoyed our balcony and slept well each night. Many people complain about hard mattresses, etc. But for us it was perfect. Our cabin attendant Iko was amazing and went above and beyond getting us an extension cord and distilled water for my husband's Cpap machine. Maybe he was sucking up for tips - but who cares. He was very pleasant and new us by name on the first day. Don't be afraid to book this room by the elevator. We really enjoyed it. Read entire member review >>
We were in a balcony cabin 7638, and really got a kick out of being on the balcony at night having a glass of wine. Plenty of room .... very spacious. Our cabin attendant, Dindo, was absolutely fabulous and we chose to tip him very graciously every day for his services as well. At one point, there was a slight smell in the restroom, but it never made an impact on us, since we were out of the cabin most of the time. However, we did spend some time in the cabin relaxing on the couch or just on the balcony enjoying the view. Our room was very clean, although I did wear a pair of slippers while in the cabin, just in case. Read entire member review >>
Mid ship 7th deck ...The room was very very clean but very outdated (my first cruise) shower super small. the interior lighting was nice, the sliding door somewhat hard to slide...Israel took very good care of use thank you Read entire member review >>
We stayed in room 7130, port side. Waking up in Nassau overlooking the streets was not a good view. Next time, I'll get a starboard room. At night, it was very loud, the music from the Centrum when they had a 70's party was quite loud. It was more noticeable from the balcony. Don't know whether it was our upstairs neighbors, or the chairs in the Solarium near the Park Cafe, that was on top of us on the 9th floor, but outside on the balcony you could hear chairs scraping very loudly.
The room is small, but there is more than enough storage space, in the closet, in the room and in the bathroom. The room was tired looking, the curtain had a tear in it, the sliding door to the balcony was extremely difficult to open and close, the outside of the balcony, on the floor, was patched in areas. The lock on the sliding door made a clicking noise that was very loud at night, and was very distracting when trying to sleep. When we first arrived, it was FREEZING in the room! We cranked the air all the way up (or down, depending on how you look at it), but it was marked in Celsius so that made it a little confusing. It took two days for the temperature to normalize. We called and asked them to look at it, but I don't know if anyone ever came.
There are only two electrical outlets in the whole room, none in the bathroom, two plugs on the desk. They confiscated my extension cord because it had multiple plugs, and my power strip, even though it was not a surge suppressor.
There weren't enough hangars, but our room steward brought more promptly. Read entire member review >>
I was concerned about my cabin 7542 because I saw a negative review. I can say whatever the problem it was solved. The cabin was clean and had no odor. I did have to flush a few times but, no real problem. For an older ship the room was spacious enough and kept clean. I had a nice oceanview balcony too. Read entire member review >>
When we booked our cruise there was only one stateroom left with a balcony. It happened to be a handicapped room, which meant it was a little larger to accommodate a wheelchair; etc. Therefore, our bathroom/shower was probably larger than the showers in the other staterooms. We certainly enjoyed the extra room this stateroom provided. We especially enjoyed the balcony, and I would recommend reserving a room with a balcony if it is in your budget. The extra $$ is soooo worth it! Read entire member review >>
I was in 7624. It was a good location. Near the Centrum, yet quiet. The cabin was roomy and clean. The stateroom attendant, Maha, was very competent and attentive but not intrusive. The small balcony had two chairs and a table. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was adequate size, but service from our cabin attendant was terrible. Our key didn't work several times, nor did it work for our cabin attendant. We had to wait in lines upward to 30 minutes to get sorted out 3 different times. Cabins were outdated and very stale. The attendant did not provide the correct number of towels, nor did he supply a room service door menu and we had to get from customer service. He barely spoke to us and only said hi and bye as we were coming and going. Most cruises I have been on they have been very friendly and helpful. At the end he gave us an envelope for 'WOW" service which frankly is a joke. Read entire member review >>
AWESOME cabin and the gentleman that took care of our room there was never I did not have or if I needed something he was right there we made sure our room was always cleaned and turned down the beds for us at night. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was very clean and luggage came by 4:30pm. Our cabin steward was wonderful and very cheery. The cabin we were in was a balcony cabin that had more than adequate amount of storage. The bathroom was what you would expect on a cruise but could use some updating. They still had the shower curtain rather than the shower door. There was plenty of room to store your bathroom items however not much counter space but it was adequate also. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was in a nice location (Starboard & mid-ship) with nice view. It was a connected cabin but, no problem with any noise noted. The bed was located near the bathroom. The only complaint is in regards to the bathroom light switch being on the outside, behind the bathroom door. The room gets flooded with light when one has to use the bathroom. We had a balcony stateroom (#7084). Very roomy with a sofa and lots of storage, flat screen TV, hairdryer in a drawer. The balcony is on the smallish side but really a nice luxury. A little annoyed that passengers are allowed to smoke on balconies. The smoke drifts over and forced us inside several times although I think our neighbors were trying to be considerate when they knew we were outside. The bathroom is small of course and our shower had the dreaded "fondling curtain" that clings to you as you shower. Two outlets at the desk to recharge electronics. We used one for a small electric clock (I like to see the time at night) which gained a minute or two each day. They don't want you to leave items charging when you're not there. Our room attendant unplugged ours if we were out. There is a safe, but it's pretty small. It fits the iPad and my Kindle and DSLR camera, but the bigger camera wouldn't fit. It operates with a number keypad to open and close. Read entire member review >>
The room was fine and the bathroom a good size. The ship is showing its' age, with a balcony that could use sprucing up (rust on the walls). The steward was very good, but here's the downside. We came to call it "the noise". It would start with a loud clunk or two then sound like a loose pipe or belt banging against something. By night 3, I had enough and called guest services. They promptly sent up security (at 2 am) but the noise had stopped. Over the rest of the cruise, we had various people in our room, outside our room, and even in the service panel next to our room but it continued. We didn't get a good night sleep throughout the cruise. I finally came up with a layer of life vests and comforters on the floor to silence "the noise". Read entire member review >>
Great location to go up to solarium/spa/pool deck 9; walk across 9 to the buffet. Two flights down gets you to the dining room deck - which is on the other side of the ship. Balconies were rough and rusty. Beds were saggy and lumpy. Linens were worn out. My new large spinner suitcase did NOT fit under the bed. Let me restate - our stateroom attendant was AWESOME! Room was always made up promptly, bathroom cleaned twice a day. Sorely need to replace the very old TVs in the rooms too. Adequate nooks for unpacking. Some of this should be remedied with the Dec. 2012 refurbishment. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 7014 - Nice cabin choice. Nice size, did hear some music at times so if you sensitive to that be aware. It is a little worm and TV was something from the 70's but who's there for watching TV right? Read entire member review >>
Good size for the money. Balcony nice quiet relaxation spot for 2 people. Convenient location across from access to Centrum staircase, but also a fair amount of noise coming from there and from adjoining rooms. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was average size for the classification. The balcony was a little tight but there was enough space for 2 people to have outdoor coffee etc. before breakfast and to soak up some sun and breezes. Storage was very well apportioned. The bathroom area and shower were adequate, also with enough storage. The TV was an old fashioned style non flat screen Sony, but worked OK. It would have been nice to have WiFi all over the ship, but the advertised sites worked OK for my iPad and iPhone. The location was quite convenient, close to the forward elevator, and not at all noisy. Our room attendant was excellent, and room service was prompt. Everything was spotless and well kept. Cabin #7054 was a good selection - about half way between elevators. Roomy (especially for a solo traveler). Quiet,no sewer smells. Would have like brighter lighting in bathroom and over bed (easier to read at night).
I believe the cabins near the Centrum would be noisy because of the nightly music and activities there. On Deck 7 the noise was evident in the hallway a fair way back from the atrium. Read entire member review >>
Cabin location was awesome. Out the door, 5 steps to the elevator/centrum. You could leave the door open and enjoy the music from the centrum as well. Easy to get to dining room.
Cabin size was just right for two. I would not try to put 4 adults in since it looks like the sofa bed would expand to cover the entire width of the room. Read entire member review >>
